Almost two hours had passed and Alexandra and Elijah hadn't moved from their bed. Alex laid with her head resting on Elijah's chest as he ran his fingers through her hair. He wanted to ask what happened to her but he didn't want to make her relive any bad memories. Alexandra smiled as she felt his concern and curiosity as if they were her own feelings.

"You can ask-" Alexandra whispered and Elijah looked down at her confused. Alex slowly sat up, holding the sheet to her naked chest. "I won't brake."

Elijah signed before following her movements, sitting up himself. "What did they do to you?" He asked while collecting her hands in his. At first Alex looked away, before she turned her head and stared up at Elijah.

"Before I tell you I just want you to know that I still want to be with you despite everything I saw." Alexandra expressed. Elijah raised his eyebrows confused as to what she was talking about. Alex took a deep breathe in before continuing. "Celeste showed me everything that you have done in your thousand years. Everyone you've killed and everyone who has died because of how much you cared for them or because of Niklaus."

Elijah froze and a look of horror past his features. Alexandra felt him grow worried but he was also angry. He hadn't ever wanted her to see that side of him. Reluctantly, he pulled his hands from hers and stood up fairly quickly. Alex followed slightly, kneeling on the bed while still wrapped in the bedsheet. "How could you possibly still want to be with me? You've seen what happens, you've seen the monster I am?"

Almost instantly, Alexandra was on her feet and in front of him. The sheet now disregarded as she gripped his cheeks in her tiny hands. Elijah didn't once look away, he maintained eye contact with her the entire time and Alex smiled.

"You have done bad things, everyone has Elijah. I know killing thousands of people isn't on everyone's list but you did it to survive. I understand everything you did, everything you went though in your past thousand years. I don't fear you for any of it, you stand in front of me and I don't see the person I saw in those memories. No, I see my soulmate, the love of my life. I don't see a vampire, I just see a man who is damaged but I am willing to help you fix yourself, to fix this family." Alexandra spoke with so much passion, Elijah had started crying. Never in his life had he met someone like her. Alexandra nodded more so to herself but Elijah smiled down at her. Without sharing any other words, Elijah bent down and kissed her passionately. Their lips molded together perfectly, as if they were only made for each other and in some truth they were.

As they pulled apart, Elijah left his forehead connected to hers as their eyes lingered shut for a few more moments. "I'm sorry I broke up with you. I just wanted to protect you. Yet, you were still put in danger. You told me you loved me and I never said it back." Elijah whispered.

Alexandra shook her head as their eyes started to open and they peered into each others souls. "You don't have too." Alex whispered. Elijah pulled back slightly and shook his own head in disagreement.

"No, I do because it's true. I love you Alexandra Claire. I have loved you since the moment I first laid eyes on you." Elijah spoke passionately. Alex wrapped her arms around his neck as he gripped her waist slightly.

"I love you too, Elijah Mikaelson. I have loved you since the moment I met you also." Alex replied with just as much passion. Elijah smiled before picking her up hastily, drawing a gasp from Alexandra's lips. He laid her on the bed before they continued to show each other just how much they both meant to one another.

Elijah had left again to go speak to the other witches. Alexandra was going to join him but he insisted she stay within the compound. After a few moments of arguing, Alex finally agreed not wanting to have another run in with Celeste at that point in time. Alexandra sat in her and Elijah shared bedroom bored out of her mind.

"Alexandra!" Elijah's voice echoed through the compound. Alex smiled to herself and hopped off the bed. She skipped down the corridor and through the study door.

"Elijah! You're back. Did you find any–" Alexandra started as she entered the room. Her sentenced died for a moment as she took in his appearance - shirtless and covered in tattoos. "Okay, you could have at least got my name tattooed on you. What is happening?"

Elijah chuckled while Marcel laughed lightly happy that they had made up. "I need you to make a list of these names, please." Elijah asked. Alex stepped forward and trailed her hand along his abdomen, circling him. He physically shivered as her light touch and Alex smiled before pausing on a specific name, confused.

"Sabine? Elijah, what is this?" Alexandra asked, letting her hand linger over 'Sabine's' name. Hayley entered the room suddenly and froze, taking in Elijah's appearance just like Alexandra had before. She shook out of it before sending the couple a look of confusion.

"I believe they represent the names of the women Celeste inhabited for the past two centuries." Elijah explained. Alexandra nodded before Marcel reentered the room now holding a pen and paper. He handed them to Alex before moving to lean against the desk. Alexandra held the notebook up and started writing the names.

"It's called a Devinette. It's old school. Kind of a riddle. Witches use them to teach their kids. Solve it and it disappears." Marcel expressed. Alexandra looked up at him with a knowing look, she already knew what it was, they were just confused as to why Celeste had done it to Elijah.

"Why? What's the point?" Hayley asked moving to sit in the office chair, crossing her arms and leaning backwards.

There was a moment of silence before Elijah spoke up again, "Celeste forced me to make a choice between yourself, my siblings and Alexandra, and now she means to mock that choice, taunting me with a childish game. The longer the game, the more they suffer. To find Klaus and Rebekah, we need to solve this riddle. The solution lies somewhere in these names." Elijah explained. Alexandra placed a soft hand on his shoulder as she felt him grow guilty for not saving her. Elijah turned his head and looked at her as she sent him a look as if to tell him it was okay, that she understood his decision and held nothing against him.

"The name next to Sabine... Annie La Fleur," Marcel started as he pointed towards Elijah's forearm. Alexandra glanced down and bit her lip noticing the veins pop from his arms. "She's the witch that was shunned from her coven just over a year ago. Never knew why, but I can find out." Marcel concluded and Alex nodded in agreement.

They fell into a silence as Alexandra started writing all the names listed upon Elijah's flesh. Marcel had walked out of the room and Hayley followed, leaving Elijah and Alex alone. As Alexandra rounded Elijah to now stand in front of him he glanced down at her and stared at her concentrated face. As if feeling the love and adoration coming off of Elijah, Alex glanced up and blushed seeing him already looking at her.

"Done." Alex whispered before handing Elijah the list. He smiled and took the notepad from her hands. They continued to stare at each other before Alexandra stepped around him and picked his suit shirt back up. She lifted it to him and he shrugged it on and started doing up the buttons. As he did his shirt, Alex tied his tie around her neck before taking it off and placing it over his head and tightening it. She then handed him his suit blazer, although instead of taking it, he grabbed her waist and pulled her into his chest. Alexandra looked up at him shocked before Elijah brought his lips down and pecked her own softly.

"I'll be back soon." Elijah whispered. Alex smiled and nodded before leaning up and kissing him again. Once they pulled away, Alex handed him his blazer and he turned and left the compound in a hurry.
