It had felt like hours had passed to Niklaus. His strength returned to him and he picked Alexandra up and laid her on the steps on the alter. Niklaus moved Hayley from the table she was laying on, onto the floor as well. He sat down and rested both their heads on each of his legs, tears pooling in his eyes as he sat there.

The church doors slammed open and Niklaus didn't look up, he knew who it was. "ALEXANDRA!" Elijah shouted. He stopped dead in his tracks, panting out of breathe thanks to the werewolf bites, and he struggled to focus his vision. As he scans the room, he freezes once his eyes fall upon Niklaus sitting at the sacristy, with Hayley and Alex's heads resting in his lap. Elijah slowly starts to approach them, "No. No, no. No..." Elijah cried as he fell to his knees next to Alexandra, realizing she was dead.

"She's gone." Niklaus said, his whole body numb. Elijah started to cry, which caused Niklaus to cry as well. He raised his hand and softly moved Alexandra's hair from her face. "You've been bitten. Here." Niklaus continues as he bites into his wrist, offering it to Elijah.

Elijah took some of Niklaus's blood, healing all his wounds. They both slowly started to get up. Elijah lifted Alexandra into his arms and laid her back onto the sacristy. "How?" Elijah asked, his voice breaking as he stared down at his soulmate, hoping that by some miracle, she'd wake up.

"I was bested." Niklaus stated, angry at himself and guilt built up in him.

"You were bested. Huh." Elijah started, his anger starting to get the better of him. Slowly he walked away from Alexandra's body and down the steps, pointing at Niklaus. "You were BESTED?" Elijah yelled this time, his voice echoing around the church. Niklaus looked up at him in shock, his own sadness catching up with him. "My invincible brother."

Niklaus pulled himself up, weakly and looked Elijah in the eyes, "They took the baby. But, there's still time. We can save her." Niklaus said firmly. Elijah nodded in agreement. He looked up at Alexandra's body again and Klaus placed his hand on Elijah's shoulder. "Before they killed her, she told me to tell you that she loved you."

Elijah's heart broke even more, that her last words were for him. He stepped back up to Alex's body and signed, caressing her check. "I love you too. Always and forever." Elijah whispered while placing a soft kiss to her lips. Niklaus watched his brother and knew that it would take Elijah a long time to recover from this. A moment passed before the Mikaelson brothers left the church together to save the only Mikaelson air.

Alexandra's POV:

Alexandra gasped, her hand automatically reaching for her throat as the events of what had happened replayed in her mind. She sat up quickly and scanned the room confused. It looked like the church just older, black and white, with no color.

"My child-" A voice spoke from behind her. Alexandra snapped her head around quickly and noticed a bright light. She raised her hands to block it slightly while trying to adjust to the light.

Slowly the light dimmed and Alexandra stood up, blinking repeatedly before her eyes widened. "Nana?" She asked, her voice just above a whisper. Alexandra's grandmother smiled and opened her arms as Alex ran into them, hugging her tightly.

"Lexa." Her grandmother replied before Alex pulled back slightly.

"I died. I'm dead." Alexandra rambled. Tears raising in her eyes knowing she was never going to see Elijah ever again.

Her grandmother smiled and shook her head. "Not for long my dear." Alexandra looked at her confused before her grandmother gestured for her to walk with her, and so she did.

Cemetery:

Niklaus and Elijah rushed around the cemetery, trying desperately to figure out where the witches were keeping the baby. "The tombs are empty, the grounds are deserted, she's NOT HERE!" Elijah yelled franticly. He was angry and sad, his heart was broken and he just wanted to spill blood.
