Niklaus and Elijah sat opposite to each other in the living room, both reading. Klaus is reading 'A Poison Tree' by William Blake, and Elijah is reading one of his mother's grimoires. A dead girl laid on the coffee table between them as they listened to classical music. A moment passed before Rebekah and Alexandra walked in. Alex stiffened at the sight of the dead girl and Elijah sent her a guilty look.

"So, this is what you do in the morning? Vampire book club?" Rebekah asked in annoyance

"So, this is what you do in the morning? Vampire book club?" Rebekah asked in annoyance. Alexandra chuckled at the blonde.

"Reading edifies the mind, sister. Isn't that right, Elijah?" Niklaus stated glancing up towards Elijah for a moment.

Not moving his eyes from the grimoire Elijah replied, "Yes, that's quite right, Niklaus." Alexandra rolled her eyes before they skimmed over the dead girl again.

"And what's this business?" Alexandra asked gesturing to the dead girl on the table. Elijah looked up for a moment, his eyes trailing over the girl before looking up at Alexandra.

"This is a..." Elijah started but paused and gestured as if he was searching for the right phrasing, "peace offering."

"I noticed Elijah hadn't been feeding much so I thought that my big brother might have been a bit peckish." Niklaus explained. Alexandra chuckled and shook her head lightly, although she felt a bit worried. Why hadn't Elijah been feeding properly, Alexandra thought to herself.

"And I explained to my little brother, that forgiveness cannot be bought. I'd simply prefer to see a change in behavior that indicates contrition, and personal growth." Elijah expressed and Niklaus rolled his eyes, Elijah was still mad at him for daggering him almost a week ago. Elijah gestures to the girl again, "Not this nonsense."

"Well, I couldn't very well let her go to waste, could I?" Niklaus asked and Alexandra shivered in disgust.

"Could have just compelled her to leave?" Alexandra stated. Niklaus glanced up at her, sending her an apologetic smile.

"Well, I suppose I'll go fetch the rubbish bin, because she's staining a two hundred-year-old carpet." Rebekah exclaimed angrily as she turns and stomps away. Elijah glanced over the grimoire, noticing the girl bleeding out onto the table, where the blood had begun to drop onto the carpet covered floor.

"Is the carpet really two hundred-years-old?" Alexandra asked with wide eyes as she pointed down at it. Both of the Mikaelson's looked up at her with foolish grins. "Wow."

Alexandra left the living room wanting food. She entered the kitchen and opened the fridge, looking for the milk. Alex hummed to herself softly as her eyes skimmed every surface but still couldn't see the milk.

"Good morning." Elijah's voice reached her ears and Alex leaned backwards looking towards the doorway with a smile. Even though she had just seen him they hadn't really spoke this morning.
