Some time had passed and Elijah had began to get worse and worse with every passing minute. Alexandra mixed together a concoction for him to help keep his temperature in check. Elijah laid on the bed in the hut as Alexandra walked in and over to stand by the bed.

She held out the mixture for him and smiled, "Here, drink this." Alexandra said and Elijah moved slowly to drink it, but immediately starts to cough it back up. Alex moved just in time before he could spit it on her and signed.

"Forgive me. Please." Elijah begged while laying back down. Alexandra moved closer to him and nodded.

"It's okay. Remind me to annihilate your brother once you're healthy." Alexandra stated angry that Niklaus had played to bad guy.

"Yes, remind me to remind you to get in line." Elijah replied with a small chuckle. Alexandra rolled her eyes.

"Trust me, I'm first in line. Although, it doesn't help that we decided to shack up in a swamp either. I miss my bed." Alexandra joked. Elijah laughed whole heartedly before he slowly fell asleep. Alexandra soothed his hair, patting it to one side.

Sweat had started to form on his forehead and Alex stood up and walked out of the cabin to find a rag. A moment passed before Alexandra came walking back in with a now damp rag, and Elijah started coughing again. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. Please, just...return to whatever it is you are occupying yourself with." Elijah addressed. Alexandra rolled her eyes and kneeled beside the bed, and she softly dabbed the wet cloth upon his forehead. Elijah glanced up at her, an emotion she hadn't seen in his eyes before dancing around as he looked at her.

"To be honest you are the only thing occupying my time at the moment. I've sent all this werewolf stuff to Hayley, she hasn't called me or anything so...looks like you're stuck with me." Alexandra smiled brightly. Elijah closed his eyes for a moment, soaking in the moment they were sharing together. He wanted this, all the time but he knew of the consequences.

"Alexandra, please. This fever will make me unstable. And once the hallucinations begin I'll start to see things. You must leave me here." Elijah informed her. Alexandra rolled her eyes again and pulled the cloth from his forehead, staring him in the eyes.

"I'm not leaving you like this." Alexandra stated firmly. She stood up before leaving the hut again to get more water. Elijah signed and laid back on the bed. A moment or so passed when Alexandra heard Elijah groaning in pain. She quickly ran back into the cabin and sat behind him, resting his head in her lap while resting her hands on his forehead. Before she could stop herself, she was pulled into his head, into what she believed was an old memory of his.

ELIJAH'S MEMORY:

A women sat, naked in a bathtub. Alexandra frowned as she watched Elijah enter the room. He looked different, his long hair and outfit told her this was definitely a long time ago, yet she couldn't stop the jealousy that rose within her.

PRESENT TIME:

Alexandra was pulled back into the cabin from the memory as Elijah continued to groan in pain. "Celeste?" Elijah mumbled, Alexandra rolled her eyes in annoyance before Elijah suddenly realized it was just a memory and looked up at Alex. "Alexandra, I'm sorry. I thought you were someone else."

"Celeste." Alexandra spat and Elijah nodded. "Whoever she was, she was smokin' hot." Elijah looked at her confused before realizing he had let her into his mind.

"Did I let you enter my thoughts? I'm not well. I should go. This is..." Elijah started, concern laced in his voice as he tried to get up. Alexandra gripped his shoulders and laid him back down, soothing his head.
