Later that night, Alexandra woke up to Elijah tossing and turning. She sat up quickly and watched him for a moment, before realizing he was having a nightmare. Alex placed her hands on his shoulders and started shaking him.

"Elijah!" Alexandra called out. Suddenly Elijah sat up and gripped her wrists tightly, causing the witch to let out a whimper. As Elijah gains consciousness, he realized what he was doing and quickly pulled his hands from Alex.

"My dear, I am so sorry." Elijah apologized. Alexandra rubbed at her wrists and nodded.

"It's okay. You were just having a nightmare. Do you want to talk about it?" Alexandra asked while raising her arms to wrap around Elijah's neck. He leant forward and placed his forehead against hers, calming down.

"Not really darling. Let's just go back to sleep. I promise, I'm okay." Elijah whispered. Alexandra didn't believe him, but decided that he'd talk to her when he was ready. So instead of persisting him, they both just laid back down and fell asleep.

Alexandra, Niklaus and Elijah sat in Rousseau's bar at a table by the back of the room. It was the wake for Father Kiren who had passed away yesterday. Elijah poured the three of them a glass of Bourbon each before laying his hand on the table for Alex to interlock her own hand with, which she did. "Seems rather uncivilized, to laugh and dance around the body of a loved one." Niklaus commented and Alexandra chuckled while raising her glass to her lips.

"Yes, far better to practice your process of grief, Niklaus--denial, rage, and hoarding coffins in basements." Elijah joked. Niklaus sent him a glare while Alexandra chuckled. Hayley sat down in the unoccupied seat and sent them all an annoyed look. "I will warn you, Hayley, Niklaus is in a spectacularly foul mood today."

"Sod off." Niklaus mumbled, the alcohol obviously getting to him. Alexandra rolled her eyes and leaned in Elijah's side as his arm was thrown over her shoulder.

"What's the deal with these moonlight rings? Oliver's trying to start a revolution every five seconds, people are scared, angry, and frankly, I'm tired of stalling." Hayley whispered but her tone sad that she was indeed annoyed and angry. Alex moved her glass and Elijah poured her some more.

"It's a day of peace, Hayley. Try and enjoy it. And, in the meantime, with all manner of unknown enemies conspiring against our family, you'll move back in with us." Niklaus stated firmly. Alexandra raised her eyebrow at his demand.

"Awesome!" Hayley exclaimed sarcastically. "Then, we can do that thing where you lock me in the tower, I escape, there's drama, and then you two both realize I'm very capable of looking after myself." Alexandra chuckled and rested back into her chair, removing Elijah's arm from her shoulder and instead clasping her hand with his.

"Fat chance of that happening." Alexandra stated. Niklaus sent her a glare while Elijah looked almost amused and Hayley just smiled.

"The rings are in progress. I will live up to my word. We will find and punish whoever launched the attack on the bayou, and you will return to the compound for your own safety!" Niklaus said, his anger starting to bubble up. Hayley signed and rolled her eyes in frustration. "But, right now," Niklaus continued as he grabbed his bottle of scotch, "I'm gonna finish this bottle," He twists the lid opened, "and the next, in the hopes of drowning the demon who has chosen today to haunt me." There was a brief paus as he looked up at the ceiling, "Cheers, Mikael. Impeccable, Freudian timing." At the conclusion of his speech, Niklaus chugs straight from the bottle while the other three at the table look at him shocked and confused.

Alexandra immediately felt Elijah tense up, fear over taking his features as he shuffled forward. "Elaborate." Elijah stated stunned as Alexandra looked between the brothers concerned. "Have you dreamt of our father?"

"Go ahead, have a good laugh." Niklaus said waiting for Elijah's response. Instead, his face remained emotionless.

"I can assure you there is no piece of this that I find even remotely amusing, Niklaus. Especially considering I've been dreaming of him, too." Elijah confessed. Alexandra sat up straight at the confession, concern for both brothers overwhelming her.

"What?" Niklaus asked

Elijah thought for a moment, "If you are also seeing him..." He stops mid-thought when he notices Genevieve enter Rousseau's. She catches his eye, and smiles "Perhaps our elusive, unknown enemy is orchestrating a further attack?"

Niklaus turns his head and stares at Genevieve. "Well, then. What better way to punctuate a day of peace than by killing someone?" Niklaus stated before he smiled and waves at the elder witch. Elijah kissed Alexandra's cheek before both Mikaelsons stand up and leave, leaving Hayley and Alex alone at the table together.

"I think I'm going to head back to the compound. I'll see you later Hayley." Alexandra expressed. The werewolf nodded before Alex stood up and made her way out of the bar. She walks back to the compound and sits in the study reading while waiting for Elijah and Niklaus to return.

After sometime Elijah returned and held his hand out to Alexandra. She took it without hesitation and Elijah lead her out onto the balcony where they stood in each other's arms, overlooking the streets of New Orleans.

"Genevieve." Elijah greeted having heard the other witches footsteps enter the room. He unwrapped his arms from Alexandra and turned around while Alex stayed on the balcony he stepped inside.

She didn't listen to any of the conversation and once she heard Genevieve leave, Alex turned and walked back inside the study, closing the double doors behind herself.

"Please tell me you've designed a stronger method to control the witch than playing hard-to-get?" Elijah asked as he stepped next to Alexandra, placing a soft kiss upon her cheek. Niklaus rolled his eyes at the soulmates before clasping his hands together behind his back.

"Well, I've always been partial to the classics..." Niklaus replied before sending the couple a smile and leaving the study himself. Elijah signed before sitting down on the couch, resting his arm on the armrest, while his finger danced upon his chin in thought. He looked so tense and Alex wanted to help him. She rounded the couch and leaned over behind him, placing her hands on his shoulders before she began massaging him.

"You're so tense, darling." Alexandra whispered into Elijah's ear. He let out a sign of contentment as he relaxed into the chair. At vamp-sped, Elijah had grabbed her waist and moved them to the wall. He pressed into her body, holding her firmly into the wall dragging a gasp from the witch.

"I believe I made you a promise yesterday in the car?" Elijah whispered and Alexandra immediately blushed remembering the events of yesterday. Elijah leaned down towards her ear and softly took it into his mouth.

"And I believe I did indeed stopped teasing you, but you didn't stop teasing me so..." Alexandra whispered back. Elijah was confused for a moment until Alex used her magic to push Elijah away from her slightly. She mumbled a spell under her breathe before looking up at Elijah with an evil smile. He stepped back towards her and raised his hand to grab her again yet, he couldn't touch her. Elijah's eyes widened.

"Why can't I touch you?" He asked in pure shock and confusion, slight worry was mixed among his emotions as well. Alexandra chuckled.

"I told you that by continuing to tease me, you wouldn't get anything for a week. This is my way of ensuring that. It's a spell, you can't touch me until I say so." Alexandra explained. Elijah growled in anger and frustration as he tried again to reach out for her. He tried to break through the spell but it was no use, sweat had started forming on his forehead by the time he gave up. Alexandra laughed and stepped closer to him, running her hand up his chest and over his cheek.

"You will regret this by the end of the week. I give you my word sweetheart, that you are depriving me of sex for a week. When the monster comes back out this time next week, just know it was your own fault." Elijah said seductively that it almost made Alexandra crave but she didn't. Instead she turned on her heels and left the study making her way to the bedroom. Elijah followed her before they climbed into bed, Elijah was mad that he couldn't hold her while she slept.
