Annie's Adventures

Chaper 32

I woke up sleepily as Marmalade stretches out next to me, I gently pet her, i hear Mum moaning and stretching, I look over at her and see her getting out of her bed, she walks over to my crib rubbing her face.
"Good Morning Annie!" She smiles as she bends down to pick me up after giving Marmalade a quick pet, she lays me on her bed and changes my nappy and clothes.
"We're just going to have a lazy day today" she says as she changes into her comfy clothes and carries me downstairs, she feeds the cats and dog's before making our breakfast, she gives me my bottle which I drink myself, Mum eats her breakfast while watching me, once finished she takes me out of the high chair and carries me as she picks up her coffee and walks through to the living room, she sets her coffee down on the coffee table, then puts me in my step n play, I play while Mum curls up on the couch drinking her coffee.
We chill for the morning just snuggling, playing and watching Netflix, Mum puts me down for my nap while she makes herself lunch.
"Oh my god yes!! It's finally here! "
Hearing my mum shout woke me up, I stretched and made baby noises
"Oh no I woke Annie up!" Mum says to herself as she comes through
"Sorry Annie! It was about time you woke up anyway, look here! Look what's arrived!"
She says excitedly as she tears open the box and reveals a new play pen, she pulls it out and sets it up, then fetches some blankets and a few toys, which she puts in the play pen, first she tucks  in the fleece blanket under the mattress, then she puts another blanket on top like a cover and finally throws in the few toys and a stuffed toy. She then carries it out and I watch her disappear, Lisa then sits up looks towards the front door turn back at me, and back at the door then she sits in front of my play pen and guards me until Mum gets back, she was only gone for a few minutes, when she came back she picked me up, called for the dog's,
"Hey Annie! Ready to go to the barn?" She asks as she walks out, closes the front door after the dogs, and walks down to the barn, she enters and walks to the middle, where she's put my new play pen, she puts me in it smiling.
"This'll keep you safe while I'm doing the horses!"
She smiles, tickles me then takes her phone out and snaps a few photos, after her photo session she heads to the tack room and fetches Tolo's halter, she brings him out and changes his rug before turning him out in the field, she does the same for Fred, Blaze, Thomas, and Sunshine, she lets the cow out too, once all the animals were out in fields, she fetches her wheelbarrow and tools, and then she starts mucking out all the stables, she puts fresh shavings in, fresh haynets and water in, once finished all stables she smiles and picks me up from the play pen, we head back inside and I get put into my pram, Mum changes into walking boots, she fetches the leads then we all head out and walk the dogs, we go for a lovely two hour walk, once we get back, Mum and the dogs are exhausted, Mum cleans them up, changes their water so they have fresh water to drink after their walk, she then heads upstairs with me and changes us into jammies, after that we head back downstairs and snuggle on the couch watching movies, near the end of the movie Mum and I fall asleep.
I wake up stretching, which wakes Mum,
"oh god we weren't supposed to fall asleep! That's your second nap how are we both supposed to sleep tonight?" She asks me as she checks the time, "oh it's 4pm I should start making dinner"
She stands up, picks up my step n play with one hand and walks into the kitchen, she sets the Step n Play down and puts me in it then she starts cooking dinner, once dinner was made, she fixed my bottle and gave me that while she sat down and tucked into her dinner, once dinner was over she cleaned up the kitchen and then went to sit in the lounge, she put me down on my play mat and played with me for a while then went on her phone for a short while, after a bit she gave a squeal of excitement and jumped up, danced the room, she picked me up and danced with me,
"I'm so excited and happy!" I wondered what happened that made her so happy, I smiled back at her and we headed outside to the barn again, she skips to the barn the dogs following behind, she lets herself in and puts me down in my playpen, she then goes and fetches a halter, she leaves and a few minutes later I hear her coming back and she's got Tolo with her, she leads him in and ties him up outside his stable, she starts grooming his dark bay coat, once she manages to brush off all the mud from his body especially the legs, then leads him into the stable, she takes off his halter and closes the stable door, she puts his halter away and fetches another halter then she hears out again, I hear her coming back and she's got Fred this time, she does the same thing as what she did with Tolo, grooms him and puts him in his stable, she then fetches another horse and this is repeated until she's done all the horses and she even grooms the cow, she gets all the feed buckets and gives one to each horse, and fetches a separate feed bucket and gives that to the cow as they have two separate food. Once all the barn chores were done she picks me up from my play pen and walks out of the barn, closing the doors behind her.
"Good night horses! Love you!" She calls into the barn as she shuts the doors, she then heads up to the house, she takes off her boots and sits on the couch, the dogs go to their beds and crash out, Mum puts another movie on Netflix and we watch that, after a short while I start nodding off so Mum pauses the movie to take me up to bed and tucks me in in my crib with my bottle once she finishes putting me to bed she goes back down to finish watching her movie, Marmalade jumps into  my crib and curls up next to me, together we fall asleep.
