Annie's Adventures

Chapter 45

I wake up by Rex growing in his sleep, I look over to see him on the bed and running in his sleep, Lynn and Mum were fast asleep in bed, Rex was on their bed, Lisa and Faith were cuddled up together on the dog bed, Marmalade was in my crib curled up in the corner, and Tom was laying above me, Rex eventually stopped growing so I rolled over and cuddled Floppy, I soon fell asleep again.
When I woke up again a few hours later, Lynn and Mum were sitting up in bed, the three dogs were on the bed with them and the cats were no where to be seen.
"Oh I think Annie's woken up!" Lynn says as she looks over at me, she slips out of bed and walks over,
"Good morning Annie! Did you sleep well?" She asks as she lifts me up and cuddles me as she walks back to bed and hands me to Mum as she climbs back into bed, I stretch out in Mum's arms
"Oh look at that stretch!" Mum says, as Lynn passes her my bottle and feeds it to me, I accept and drink, after my bottle I am laid in between Mum and Lynn, I watch as they chat together. Finally they get up and get dressed, they then dress me and we head downstairs, we head outside to the barn and I'm placed in my pack n play, while Lynn helps Mum to sort the horses out, once they were sorted we went back inside the house and I get put in the bouncer. I play with my toys and entertain myself while Mum and Lynn make breakfast for themselves., after that was made they bring their plates through and sit down to eat while watching me entertaining myself.
"She's so good isn't she? Knows how to entertain herself!" Lynn says and Mum nods proudly soon they finish their breakfast and clear up afterwards then they get ready, Lyn picks me up as Mum collects our bags and let's the dogs out then locks up behind us as Lynn carries me over to Mums car, opening the door and strapping me into the car seat, Mum throws the bags in the car and opens the boot for the dogs, I watch as Lisa, Rex and Faith jump in then Mum closes the boot and gets in the drivers seat after hugging Lynn.
"Have fun at work and I'll see you tonight!" I hear Mum say I look out the window and see Lynn waving bye then gets into her car and starts to drive off, mum pulls her car out and follows Lynn's car down the driveway they seem to be going the same way for a while then they finally part ways and go in different directions. Mum drives to Doggy Day Care, she then lets the three dogs out and goes inside with them then comes back out and jumps into the car as we drive off again finally to baby day care. 'I can't wait to see Paige again!' I think to myself. Before I know it we are parking at Baby Day Care, Mum gets out and unstraps me from the car seat, we then walk inside and greet Emma,
"Hi there! How are you?" Emma says
"I'm good thanks how are you?"
"I'm good!" She replies and turns to me, "good morning Annie!" I smiled up at her as she takes me from Mum, they have a quick chat then she leaves for work, I get laid on the mat with all the girls, I look for Paige, I spot her so I roll over trying to move closer to her, Emma notices and comes over "oh I'm sorry Annie!" She apologises as she moves me to next to Paige. I smile and wave at Paige. We play together, Emma and Darcey surprises us by pulling out two huge paddling pools and then dumping a bunch of coloured balls into each pool, then they pick up all of us and place us inside to play with the balls, Paige, Danielle, Tracey and I in one together and the other four went in the other pool. After a while of playing we were each put down for our afternoon nap, I let my eyes close as I rub my nose on Floppy's fur.
I wake up again a while later stretching, I moan and change position then lay there for a while waking up, after all the babies were taken through, Emma came back for me, she lifts me up and cuddles me close to her, I rest my head on her shoulder, Emma walks into the living room and sits down with me in her arms, when I wake up fully I'm laid back down on the mat, I play with the other girls and explore the toys. After a while of that, Darcey announces that it's story time, so both Darcey and Emma lay us on big cushions in a circle, and they sit to read us a story, they read a book about The Hungry Gruffalo.
Once that was over it was time for our parents to pick us up, I yawned and rolled over to Paige who was laying next to me, I reach out with my hand and touch her chest, she turns her head to look at me and smiles, i smile back at her and we gently explore each others faces, before we knew it Paige's mum was arriving and picking Paige up, I look up at them with a sad face, I wave bye bye to Paige and Paige waves bye back, Angela and Darcey have a quick conversation then she heads out, soon it was just me laying on the mat, I didn't have to wait long before Mum was walking in and scanning the room looking for me, I squeal excitedly when I see her and wave my legs and arms around, Mum smiles and comes over the me to pick me up, she then turns to Emma, and they have a conversation which I tone out of, after a few minutes Mum takes my bag from Emma and walks out to her car. She does the usual, straps me into my car seat, throws my bag into the car and jumps into the passenger seat then we drive off.
"Did you have a good day at day care?" Mum asks and I nod, as I gaze at myself in the mirror above me, Mum looks into her drives mirror and she can see me in my mirror so she sees my nod
"Ah that's good! I'm glad you're enjoying day care"
Before we know it we are driving into doggy day care to pick up the dogs, I watch as Mum opens the boot and Lisa, Rex and Faith jumps into the boot, i smile at them, mum gets back into the car and we drive off again, this time for home.
Once we parked in our drive way, Mum got out letting the dogs out for toilet and then unstraps me from the car seat, and carries me in while carrying our bags with her other hand, the dogs follow her to the front door where Mum puts down the bags so she can unlock the door, we walked in and took our shoes off, Mum lays me in my bouncer, I watch as she sorts things out, makes sure the dogs are set, then she carries me upstairs and changes us into our pjs, once we were mice and comfy we went downstairs and sat on the sofa together to wait for Lynn, Mum turns on the tv to watch while we wait.
About an hour later the front door opens and the dogs run excitedly to greet Lynn who had just walked in,
"Hello lovelies!" She says greeting them and coming to greet Mum and I.
"Did you both enjoy your day!?"
Mum nods smiling
"That's good!" Lynn says as she sorts herself out then runs upstairs to get changed, Faith follows her as Mum puts me in my bouncer turning off the tv and headed into the kitchen to start on dinner.
Lynn came back down not long after and helped Mum with dinner, just before it was ready she fed me my bottle which I drank happily, after my bottle their dinner was ready so they sat down to eat.
Once they finished they cleared up and then fed all the animals and headed outside to sort the horses, they took me to the barn pack n play where I lay playing with the toys while they sorted the horses, mucking out, bringing them in, changing rugs, feeding them making sure they had water and hay, once that was all done we headed back inside and got comfy on the couch to watch telly. I fell asleep shortly after.
