Chapter 2: Getting To Know My Mum And Family (1 day old)

I was wakened up by a nurse a couple of hours later, she picked me up and said that I was going to see my Mummy, I smiled, as I was carried to my Mum's bed. I was nestled in her arms, I looked up to see her, she was more wide awake than the last time I saw her. My Mummy looked up at the nurse and said, "can I be on my own with Skye please?"
"Yes of course!!" replied the nurse, Then my mum started talking.
"Hello there my sweetie, I'm your Mummy, Gary's your Daddy, I hope you will be horsey when you grow up. We live on a farm, even though your Daddy's not a farmer. There are lots and lots of animals Daddy's got two horses called, Alberto and Snowball, I have four horses called, Fred, Blaze, Sunshine and Tolo, You have one shetland called Thomas."
I smiled up at her and nodded
"Do you want to know anymore? Shake your head to the sides if no, nod your head up and down if yes"
I nodded, she smiled and carried on
"Well, I'll tell you about the horses then, so, Daddy's horse Alberto is a piebald gelding, He's hogged which means he doesn't have a mane He's standing at 14.3. Alberto and Gary are really close, they have a strong bond, Gary has had him since he was a foal. And there's Snowball a grey fluffy Shetland, he's 9hh and getting old! Now for my horses, Fred, Tolo, Sunshine and Blaze. Fred is a handsome chestnut gelding standing at 16.hh he has a blaze down his face and four white socks, Tolo is a very handsome dark bay gelding, he was named after the horse in the film The Long Shot. He has 3 socks and is about 10 years old, Sunshine is our old palomino mare, she's standing at 16hh, and lastly Blaze, I rescued her from a man who wasn't very nice to her, Blaze's a chestnut, flaxen mane and tail, three socks, she's a mini Fred! We have a strong bond. Now yours which is a wee Shetland pony he's 10hh a lovely chestnut flaxen mane and tail, oh and Sunshine is pregnant to her last foal! Should be born any day now!" Just then her mobile rang! My Mum held me in one arm and picked her mobile up with her free hand, and opened the text. It was from my Dad, Mum read it out to me. "Sunshine had her foal last night when I got home from hospital, both mare and foal healthy, the foal is a beautiful palomino filly. Hope you and Skye are okay, coming in to see you this afternoon."
Mum was soo happy that she nearly dropped me!
Mum offered her breast to me incase I wanted a drink, I did so I drank some milk then fell asleep in her arms, my Mum also fell asleep, we were still sleeping when my Dad came in hours later. Mum and I woke up when a flash appeared in our face,
"What are you doing?" asked Mum,
"I thought you two looked cute sleeping together that I couldn't help it but take a picture." said Dad
"Can I see?" asked mum
"Sure thing" answered Dad, he pressed a few buttons then showed Mum and I the picture
"Ah its cute! I like it!" said mum
I smiled to show that I liked it too when Mum made Dad show me,
Mum and Dad talked while I had another sleep.
