Chapter 43

I yawn as I rub my eyes, I open them and look around, I see Marmalade at the foot of my crib and Lisa on the floor next to my crib, Rex and Tom are on Mum's bed. I roll over and grab Bella with my hands and play with her, after a few minutes I hear Mum getting up I look over to see her sitting up and rubbing her face, she stands up and heads to the bathroom, Lisa and Rex get up to follow her, I wait for Mum to come and get me, finally she comes over and lifts me up from my crib and gives me a morning cuddle, she lays me down on her bed and changes my nappy, then she dresses me and heads downstairs, she lets the dogs out for toilet then she lays me on the bouncer and heads to the kitchen, she feeds the cats then prepares our breakfast, and gives me my bottle which I drink hungrily, once I finish she eats her breakfast.
Once eaten she clears up and heads outside, walking into the barn, to hear all the horses neighing to her,
"Hello! Good morning!" She says as she puts me in my pack n play then goes into the feed room and gives each horse and cow their breakfast, while they're eating she changes the rugs then lets them out into the fields, finally we head back inside and get ready to go out, our coats are put on, my shoes are slipped on and Mum grabs our bags then walks outside carrying me and checks that the dogs are outside, she locks up the house then heads to the car, she puts me in my car seat and straps me up, then she opens the boot to let the dogs in, I watch as they jump in and look over the back seat excitedly, Mum closes the boot and gets in the drivers seat, we pull out of the drive way and start driving to Doggy Day Care, once arrived we parked the car and I watched as Mum got out the car to let the dogs out, they run to the door of the kennels, Mum walks after them and let's them in then walks back to the car and gets in again.
"Ready to go to Baby Day Care?" She asks "excited to see Paige again?"
I smile and kick the back Seat excitedly as Mum drives to baby day care, she gets out of the car and gets me out, she grabs my bag then walks in the building and heads to the zero-six month section,
"Oh hello you two!" Emma says smiling as she gets up and walks over to us, i smile back at her and reach for her, she takes me in her arms and chats to Mum quickly then she heads off to work and Emma lays me on the mat I look around for Paige, I couldn't see her so I played with Rose for a while, finally after a while Paige's Mum Angela walks in with a crying Paige, I look over,
"Oh my goddess" Darcey says as she walks over and takes Paige, "what's wrong?"
"She's had her doctor appointment and she wasn't happy." Angela says
"Oh poor Paige" Darcey says quietly and pays her back,
"Well I'm off, late for work, bye" she says as she walks off.
Darcey then tries to comfort Paige, after a few minutes she stops crying so Darcey lays her next to me, I roll over and take her hand, she looks at me and clasps my hand.
I coo at her and we play together for a while, Emma and Darcey sit on the mat and play with some of us, they also put us all on our bellies to practice tummy time. I roll onto my back easily and try to roll back on my belly, it's a little harder but I manage and I then prop myself up with my arms and look around, I see Emma quickly take a photo of me propping myself on my arms, I then let myself down, that was hard work! I roll back over onto my back and rub my eyes,
"You getting tired Annie?" Emma asks and I nod in reply
"aw, you girls will go for your nap soon!"
Darcey gets up and heads into the kitchen and comes back out a while later with her arms full of bottles, Emma jumps up to help, they place the bottles on the table then put us in high chairs, one by one Emma and Darcey feeds all of us, once fed we were laid down for our nap, I fell asleep as soon as Emma lays me down.
I roll over and rub my eyes as I wake up, I look around sleepily to see I was alone in the nursery, I kick about and entertain myself while I wait for someone to come and get me, finally Emma peeks into the nursery after a while and sees that I'm awake, she comes in and walks over to me,
"Oh hello Annie! You're the last one up! Do you feel refreshed?" She asks as she lifts me up and lays me on the changing table to change my nappy and then carries me through, Paige notices me and stretches out her arms, Emma smiles and lays me next to her, Emma and Darcey then go and fetch the prams,
"We're going for another adventure!" Darcey says happily as she and Emma start strapping us all in the prams and then we're off! We head out of the building and head down the street, and wait at the bus stop, soon a bus arrives and we get on, Darcey and Emma park the cars then they sit down each opposite the pram, Emma then takes a photo of us all.
After a while we got off the bus and walked around, we visited a few shops, Emma and Darcey got one or two things they needed,
"It'll be cute if we get something small for the kids" Darcey says
"Yeah good idea! I like that" Emma replies as we walk into another shop called Toys R Us, we looked around, there was lots of cute little cuddly toys, cuddly dogs, cuddly cats cuddly lambs, cuddly raccoons etc
Paige got a cuddly white woolly lamb and I got a cute cuddly tan and white dog, about half the size as Bella, Emma and Darcey paid for our new toys, Tracey and Sophie cried when their toys were taken from them, the cashiers quickly scanned them then gave them back to Tracey and Sophie, the rest of us were happy enough for our new toys to be taken from us, we got them back seconds later and cuddled them as Emma and Darcey pushed our prams out of the shop
"Thank you!" They say to the cashier and head along the street, we pop into more shops then after all the shopping we head to the park and sit down in the beautiful sunshine, after enjoying the sun for a while, we notice Emma taking more photos of us all.
"Shall we head back?" Emma asks
"Yes, our bus is due in five minutes!" Darcey replies jumping up and getting ready to go, Emma does the same and they quickly push our prams to the bus stop, we made it just in time as our bus pulled into the bus stop, we get on and our prams parked, we play with our new cuddly animals, a while later we get off the bus and walk along back to baby day care, we get lifted out of the pram and laid on the mat, we play together while Emma and Darcey put the prams away.
"We made it back in time for pick up" Emma says as some of the parents came in to pick up their daughters, eventually my Mum came in and smiled when she saw me
"Hello! Did you have a good day?" She asks as she lifts me up and gives me a cuddle,
"Here's her bag, and we got this little cuddly toy for Annie" Emma says "I've put some photos into her bag as well" she says as she puts my new toy into my bag
"Oh thank you! That's so sweet!" Mum says,
She takes the bag and they chat for a little while then we head out to our car, Mum opens the door and puts me in the car seat, strapping me in, she puts my bag next to me then jumps in the drivers seat and starts the engine, Mum pulls out of the parking spot and drives out of the car park then heads to doggy day care, we see Lisa and Rex jump up out of excitement as they hear our car drive in, Mum gets out the car just as the lady opens the kennel and the two dogs run out and run to Mum, she bends down to greet them then opens the boot and the dogs jump in, Mum closes the boot and jumps into the car again, we then drive for home.
"Home sweet home" Mum sings as we drive into our parking spot and turn off the engine, Mum gets out the car and opens the boot to let the dogs out then she opens my door and unstraps me from the car seat, lifting me up, she plants a kiss on my cheek and grabs our bags then heads into the barn for our after work routine, I watch from the pack n play as Mum mucks out the stables, and puts fresh water in each stable, she fetches the haynets and puts one or two in each stable then finally she goes and brings in the horses, and the cow, once the animals were sorted we headed inside and Mum heads upstairs to change into her lounge wear, she changes me into my PJ's then we head back downstairs and sit on the couch, Mum lays me on the couch and gets my new toy from my bag, she plays with me,
"Did you get a new toy!?" She says smiling as she makes the dog jump on my chest and kiss my face, i giggle up at her and try to reach for the toy, we play together,
"What shall we name it?" Mum asks "maybe creamy?" I shake my head
"No? What about" she says dragging out the word about, as she thinks, I watch her in deep thought,
"What about Floppy!?" She says looking at me bright eyed
"I like Floppy!" She turns to the dog "she looks like a Floppy, do you like your new name Floppy?"
She asks as she makes Floppy nod her head, then they look at me, i smile up at them and grab Floppy, Mum leaves me to play with Floppy as she goes on her phone for a little bit, after a while she gets up to head into the kitchen, I hear her feeding the cats and the dogs, then she starts on our dinners, while hers is cooking she brings me my bottle, she puts it on the armrest of the sofa as she picks me up and sits down cradling me in her arms, she picks up the bottle and gently presses the nipple of the bottle on my lips, I open them to accept the bottle and drink hungrily, while I'm eating, Mums phone goes off, she checks the screen
"Oh it's Lynn calling!" Mum says as she takes the bottle in the same hand that's supporting me, she reaches for her phone and answers the call,
"Hello!" Mum says as she takes the bottle in her other hand that she used to answer the phone, "I'm just feeding Annie, you okay?"
"Yes" Lynn replies "oh do you want me to call back later?"
"No it's fine, you're on loud speaker so"
"Oh am I!? Hello Annie! Hello Lisa, hello Rex, hello Marmalade, hello Tom! Hello world!" They laugh at Lynn's silliness, I tone out of their conversation as my eyes get heavy and I slowly nod off with the nipple still in my mouth as I suckle slowly, in a few seconds I'm out.
I come out of deep sleep as I feel myself being moved from Mums arms, she pulls the bottle out of my mouth as she carefully lays me down in my crib, she snuggles Bella and Floppy into my sides as I drift off to deep sleep again.
