Chapter 41

I wake up the next morning in my crib, I look over at the bed and see Mum sleeping. How did we get here? We fell asleep on the sofa last night, must be magic!
I lay there for a few minutes and kick around, Mum was still fast asleep so I decide to go back to sleep.
I wake up again a few hours later, Mum's now up and about getting ready,
"Good morning Annie! Did you have a good sleep?" Mum asks as she lifts me up from the crib and changes my nappy, then dresses me, we head downstairs and Mum goes out to sort
The horses out and feed the animals then she gets herself some breakfast and my bottle, she feeds me first then let's me chill in my bouncer while she eats her cereal, once she had finished, she clears up after breakfast and gets everything ready, she puts my coat on then hers after and picks me up, she grabs our bags and heads out, locking the door, she opens the boot and the dogs jump in she closes the boot after them and then throws the bags in the car and puts me in my car seat, finally she jumps in the drivers seat and starts the engine, we drive out of the drive way and head to doggy day care, the lady there walks up to us smiling as Mum gets out the car and chats with her then she opens the boot and lets Lisa and Rex out, they run around excitedly happy to see the lady, Mum gets back into the car as the lady walks away with Rex and Lisa, Lisa looks back to check on Mum but keeps walking with the lady and Rex. Mum drives out of the car park and drives towards Baby Day Care,
"You're next, are you excited to see Paige again? And all your friends?" Mum asks and I squeak happily and baby talk happily rest of the way, I kick about and wave around while Mum is trying to unbuckle me making it a difficult task for her, finally Mum manages to unbuckle me and she lifts me up from the car seat, she grabs my bag and walks inside and heads to the 0-6 month section.
"Hi Emma and Darcey!" Mum says as she walks in carrying me.
"Hi!" They both say back "how are you?" Emma asks
"I'm good thanks! You?" Mum replies, they have a little chat while I look around the room, where's Paige?
I finally spot her on the mat and I rock happily, Mum quickly lays me down next to Paige, I coo happily and greet Paige, I'm too distracted by Paige that I don't see Mum leaving, Emma lets Paige and I say hello to each other before taking my coat off, Paige and I play together all morning, soon it's was lunch time so we were given our bottles, I drank hungrily.
"Wow you're hungry!" Darcey whispers to me as she watches me drink once we all finished our bottles we went down for a nap.
After our nap we all played some games together and read books and some tummy time, I lay on my tummy for a while then rolled over to my back.
I then spotted a toy I wanted to play with so I rolled myself towards it and a few roll overs I managed to reach the toy, I grabbed it and then rolled back onto my back and played with it, exploring with my mouth, Emma notices and lifts me up to move me back to the mat, you'll be crawling real soon!
Before I knew it our parents were coming in to pick up us. I watched as all the other parents came in and said hello to their children lovingly. They're picked up cuddled and kissed, the parents then talk to Emma and Darcey before heading off, it's just Paige and I now, I roll over to my side and play patty cake with Paige, we notice Emma filming us, soon Paige looks up as her Mum walks in and picks Paige up then heads out.
"Oh, not a hello or a thank you" Darcey says
"I know" Emma replies quietly as she plays with me, eventually my Mum walks in and walks over, saying hello to me lovingly and picks me up to give me kisses and cuddles.
"I'm sorry I'm always the last one to pick up Annie" Mum apologises to Emma and Darcey
"Oh don't apologise, it's fine! Life happens! Work must be busy?" Emma assured her
"Oh yes. Very busy" Mum answers as she accepts a wad of photos from Darcey. "Thank you so much for everything! Annie loves it here!"
They smile at her as Mum heads out and heads to her car, strapping me in the car seat and getting in the car herself as we then head out and head to doggy day care to pick up Rex and Lisa, they jump around in their kennel as they hear Mum's car pull into the car park, Mum jumps out as the lady opens the kennel and the two dogs run up to Mum barking excitedly,
"Hello darlings!" Mum says as she fusses over the two dogs, she then walks round to open the boot and the dogs jump in, then she closes the boot and has a quick chat with the lady before getting in the car and driving towards home.
Once home we do our normal routine of heading into the barn, I'm put into the pack n play while Mum sorts the horses and then we go inside and change into our lounge wear or me into my pjs, we play together on the floor in the living room, I've been put on my play mat so I reach up and play with the toys hanging from there, the dogs find a tug toy and play tag of war together, Mum then heads into the kitchen to make dinner as both dogs and I are entertaining ourselves.
Few minutes later Mum comes back through, she's having a ready meal tonight and I'm having my usual bottle, I drink hungrily, after my bottle I fall asleep early as I'm tired, I feel Mum moving me but I don't wake up as I'm too tired.
I wake up about two hours later and I look around to see Mum's moved me to the couch, there's a cushion on one side so that I can't fall off, Lisa's by my feet sleeping. 'This is so comfy' I thought to myself.
I notice Mum watching telly and she turns to check on me she's about to turn back to the tv when she sees I'm awake,
"Oh hello Annie! Did you have a good nap? You were tired!" She says as she gets up to lift me up and cradles me in her arms as she sits back down, she cuddles me and smiles at me,
"You'll be going to bed past your normal bedtime because of your nap. Have you been playing all day?" Mum talks to me as she watches tv.
I stretch a few times and yawn a while later, the tv shows us credits telling us the show was over, Mum turns the tv off and yawns.
"I think I'll go to bed early too, I'm tired" Mum says as she gets up and carries me to the back door, opening it to let the dogs out for toilets, after the dogs did what they needed to do they came back in and Mum locks the door, she makes sure the front door is locked too, turns the lights off then heads upstairs, and lays me in my crib, I watch as she changes into her pjs, she then gets two biscuits out of a drawer and feeds the dogs one biscuit each, finally she gets into bed and turns the lights off,
"Goodnight Annie!" Mum says as the house then goes quiet, all we can hear is the dogs munching on their biscuits.
I roll over to my side and grab Bella I rub her furry body as I slowly fall asleep
