Chapter 11: Moving House!

I was wakened up again by a cat, but this time it was Tom, he pushed his body against me as he ran passed me playing with Marmalade, I stretched out and looked around, Mum was getting ready, she had some old trousers on with an old pink top and trainers, she had a pink and white hoodie on, she sorted her bag then mine, at last turned her attention to me, she put some clothes on me, soft trousers and stripy pink top, with a pink jumper, she then fed the cats, watered them and finally went downstairs carrying me, she sat at the nearest table and ordered a small cereal, she gave me my bottle while waiting for her breakfast, her breakfast came when I finished my bottle,
"Good timing" she said so I could only hear, then she started on her breakfast.
Soon I was being strapped into my car seat, we arrived at Baby Day Care, this time Mum unstrapped the car seat and took that out with me in it! Mum grabbed my bag and closed the door then carried my seat into the building, she entered the room, there were six children on the mat today! four were sleeping.
"Hello Emma, is everything ok?" Mum asked as she walked up to Emma, Emma looked up at us
"Oh Hello Cathy and Annie! It's nice to see you again, yes everything's ok, why you ask?" Emma replied happily,
"Well there's about six children here" Mum started
"Yep we have four new children coming in, Annie still comes though, until she reaches six months"
"Okay that's fine, my old neighbour Amy is going to pick Annie up but she is going to be half an hour late, I hope that is ok"
"Sure it's fine"
I was put next to the six children, I recognised two of them, Dannielle and Paige, Mum and Emma talked for a bit then Mum left, Emma got a few toys out, we had a good day of playing, listening, eating and sleeping,
At 4:30 Amy arrived a bit breathless, she smiled when she saw me,
"Hello Annie! It's nice to see you again, she picked me up from the mat I was lying on and cuddled me, rubbing my back gently,
"Are you Amy?" Emma asked
Amy nodded,
"You sure you know her Annie?" She asked me looking at my face, I nodded hard, she sighed and let us off saying good bye, Amy had barely reached the door when we heard her name being called! She turned round to see Emma running after her,
"what's wrong?" Amy asked as she waited for Emma
"You forgot Annie's car seat and bag" she started
"Oh sorry! And thanks" she said taking the car seat and bag,
"Are you seeing Cathy later on today?" Emma asked and Amy nodded
"Yes we're going to hers now" Amy replied
"Ok great, please can you give her those?" Emma asked as she handed over the small stack of photos,
"Sure thing" Amy replied putting them in my bag,
"I have a feeling that something great happened?" Emma said
"Well Cathy and Annie moved house today that's all" Amy replied
"They did!?" Asked Emma shocked, Amy nodded
"Can you spare about 10 minutes please?" Asked Emma politely
"Sure thing I'm not in a rush" Amy said as Emma ran off, but came back 10 minutes later, carrying a parcel or two with a big card,
"Give this to Cathy please" she said smiling
We all walked to Amy's car, she strapped the car seat before strapping me in, she put the presents from Emma in beside me, Rex and Lisa were in the boot I smiled in greeting and Amy got in the car, she thanked Emma before driving off, we saw Emma rush back in then out and waved to us, Amy groaned and stopped the car, winding the window down, Emma passed her two big bags and two plastic bags, Amy thanked her then drove off, 20 minutes later we finally arrived at our new house, I stared at the medium sized house, then I looked around while Amy drove around the yard trying to find a safe spot to park, we were happy to see Mum walk out of the house, she waved then signalled Amy to follow, she walked round to a area where two cars and two vans were parked, Amy gladly parked next to them and got out, she hugged Cathy and opened the door to get me out but Mum was there first, she unstrapped me and picked me up, I was pulled into a big bear hug, Amy got the car seat and put that in Mum's car then she let the dogs out, they jumped out and ran around happily, Amy carried the presents, I looked ahead as Mum walked into the house, all the rooms were stacked with boxes, Mum put me in a baby chair then Amy helped Mum unpack the boxes, they started on the most important rooms, like the kitchen and Mum's bedroom then started on the rest of the rooms downstairs, when all of that was done, we had tea together, after that they did a bit more tiding up and sorting out things then Amy drove home, Mum fed the dogs and cats then tucked me into my crib in our new room, I fell asleep watching Mum getting changed and get into her bed, we both fell asleep in our new house for the first time.
