Chapter 14: Going to the Zoo

I opened my eyes to see a dark cold small room, I was alone, I looked around scared, I saw a black hole appear, the hole started sucking things, soon the strong wind came and blew me towards the hole, unfortunately my head was about to go into the hole first, which just made things scarier, soon darkness covered me, the hole closed and I started going faster and faster and faster, soon I was going down a steep slop, I screamed, called for help, nothing happened, soon the tunnel started going straight down, I was zooming down mega fast, I screamed my lungs out, I saw Mum, she was waving good bye,
"I've always hated you"
I heard her say,
Then I heard panic voices which sounded like my Mum, I also felt something wet licking my face, then a paw on my chest, after a bit that paw got heavier, at last I woke up, I noticed my crib was soaked, I saw Lisa beside me with a worried expression, a second later Mum was beside her, she picked me up and gave me a big hug no matter how wet I was, she praised Lisa then took me into the bathroom and ran a bath, she stripped me down, she gave me a nice warm bath, after I got dried and dressed, she lay me on her bed and stripped my crib down, she went away for five minutes then came back for me and put me in my highchair while she fixed my bottle and made herself some breakfast, she fed the cats and dogs, made sure she had everything then got in the car and we drove off.
"Hello everyone!" Said Emma happily
"Hello Emma" everyone replied
"how are you all?" Asked Emma
"Good thank you and you?" everyone replied
"Great, we might go to the zoo today" Emma told everybody
"Oh that'd be lovely! Please can you take lots of pictures of Annie at the zoo?" Asked Mum
"Of course" replied Emma
Mum smiled then said goodbye to me, she lay me down on the mat and left waving to me, soon the other parents were following my Mum, we all played till lunch time where we all got our bottles then after an hour of rest and letting our food go down, Emma and Darcey strapped us into the pram's, they got a few things then we left the center and got on a mini bus, 15 minutes later we arrived and got off, we were pushed up the slope and into the office part, we looked around while Emma and Darcey paid for the visit, we spent around two hours looking at the first half of the animals, then we had a little snack and the adults talked for a bit finally we went to view the second half of the animals which took us about two hours, before we went home, we saw the penguins walking down the path, we all laughed at their cute walking. We got picked up by our parents when we arrived at the center, we got straight in the car after getting off the bus, I smiled at Lisa and Rex who were in the boot watching Mum strap me into my car seat, 20 minutes passed and we were home, Mum carried me in after letting the dogs she put me in my new bounce chair thing, I bounced and bounced while Mum got changed then sorted some things out, she strapped me back into my car seat, put Lisa in boot then drove away to some house, she parked and got out, she got her bag, let Lisa out then carried me up the path and rang the door bell five minutes later, an elderly couple answered the door,
"Hello Cathy! How nice to see you again!" They said
"Hi Mum and Dad! I missed you!" Mum answered
"We missed you too! Sorry we weren't there when you had your baby, or there during the first two weeks" they told Mum
"Thats alright, at least you can meet her now" Mum replied with a excited voice
"Come in come in"
Mum walked in and we all sat on the sofa in the living room, a man then came in with three cups of tea or coffee,
"Annie, these are your other grandparents, these are my parents, the last grandparents you saw were your dad's parents" Mum told me
I smiled up at her to show I understood
"again, we're so sorry for not being there when your daughter was born," the woman told Mum,
"No its ok, I understand," said Mum
"I bet we have a lot of news to share, don't we?" the woman said smiling then looking up at the man who nodded in agreement smiling at us
"True" Mum laughed "you go first"
"Ok well, we had a lovely holiday, but you two never left our mind, we were thinking about you the night your daughter was born. Can I be called Nanna and he be called Grandad?"
"Yes you may, this is Annie, she is two weeks old on Wednesday" Mum said
Poor Gary died the night before Annie's one week Birthday"
"Oh no!" Nanna and Grandad gasped and Nanna ran over to Mum
"I'm so sorry to hear! are you ok?" Said Nanna, Mum waved her off
"I'm fine I'm fine, I was going to break up with him the day after anyway" Mum told them calmly.
For the next hour or two Mum and my grandparents shared their news soon everyone was caught up on everybody's news, we had tea at theirs then went home, Mum saw to the horses and fed them all, she played with Rex, Lisa and I until it was our bed time.
