Annie's Adventures

Chapter 37

I feel someone rubbing my back as I groan in my sleep,
"Wakey wakey Annie, it's time to wake up" I hear Mum saying, I roll on my back and rub my eyes,
"You can have a nap at Day Care Annie" Mum says, I slowly open my eyes and look around, Mum then picks me up and lays me on her bed, she changes my nappy and my outfit, once dressed she carries me down to the lounge and lays me in my baby chair, she tends to the animals then makes our breakfast, I drink my bottle happily, once we ate our breakfast we then get ready to go out, Mum collects our stuff and carries it out to the car, she comes back and picks me up and calls for the dogs, locking up the door she walks over to the car letting the dogs jump into the boot then she straps me into my car seat, lastly she's jumps in and we start driving.
Doggie Day Care is the first stop as always, Lisa and Rex bark excitedly to see their friends again, once the dogs were handed in we were off again, next stop is Baby Day Care, I smile and wiggle excitedly.
"You looking forward to seeing Paige again!?" Mum asks as she lifts me out of my car seat, grabbing my bag, she then walks inside and heads to 0-6 months section,
"Hello!" Mum calls
"Hi!" Emma replies looking up with a smile
"How are you?" Mum asks
"I'm good, you?"
"We're good!" Mum says as she lets Emma take me then waves, and gives me a kiss on my head before walking away to her car for work, Emma lays me on the mat, a few girls are there but no Paige, I play with the girls and Emma until the others arrive 
Soon Paige's Dad comes in and I squeal excitedly, kicking about.
"What's wrong with that baby?" He asks
"Oh she's just excited to see Paige here!" Emma replied as she smiles at Paige and holds her hands out for her
"I see, I gotta go, take her" her Dad says as she pushes Paige into Emma's arms, and walks off. Paige notices me and starts kicking about, Emma quickly lies her next to me and we play together happily.
"Shall we go on a picnic!?" Darcey asks
"Oh good idea, it's a lovely beautiful sunny day!" Emma replies so Darcey goes to pack our lunch while Emma keeps an eye on us and sets up the prams.
Once that was all done, we were put into the seats and strapped in, we left the building and set off to the park, I reached for Paige's hand and we held hands.
Once we arrived at the park, we walk around for a while enjoying the scenery, watching the ducks in the pond, the birds flying around, and watching mothers helping their children to feed the ducks, after a while Emma and Darcey pick a spot under some trees, they set out a big blanket then lay all of us on the blankets and sat down, they unpacked the picnic bag.
It was a lovely day for a picnic, laying in the sun, cuddling into Emma's arms while it was my turn to drink my milk, after a while of being there listening to the birds chirping away, Emma and Darcey stood up and packed everything up again then put us all back into the pram and left the park to head back to the baby day care, half of us were falling asleep, our eye lids were heavy and wanting to close. Soon we were back, Emma and Darcey starting putting us all to bed in the nursery bedroom, one by one we all fell asleep.
I woke up a while later stretching and yawning, I look around, a lot of us were still asleep, I close my eyes and fell asleep again but I was woken up about fifteen minutes later by Rose crying, which woke all of us up. Darcey and Emma came in Darcey picked Rose up to comfort her and Emma picked up another baby,
"Wow you guys were asleep for a long time! The sun must have worn you out" Emma says as she helps Darcey to change our nappy's and bring us through to the main room, where we lay and played with everyone, we had a fun afternoon then our parents came in to collect us.
Mum comes walking in sighing
"I'm glad it's the weekend!" She says smiling as she walks over to me and picks me up she plants a kiss on my cheek
"Did you have a fun day?" She asks and I nod, just then Paige's mum comes in and looks for Paige, sees her next to us and picks her up,  smirks at Mum and looks her up and down then walks out, I look down sadly, my lips trembling
"Oh wow some women." Mum says watching Angela leave then looks at me. "Hey it's okay, you'll see Paige again on Monday." Mum says as she walks over to Emma,
"Hi there! Here's her photos" Emma says as she hands Mum some photos in an envelope, 
"Thank you! I'll see you Monday?" Mum replies
"Yeah! Have a lovely weekend!"
"Thank you, you too!" Mum says as she walks out and heads out the building to her car, she straps me in my car seat then gets in and drives to pick up the dogs from doggy day care, they bark happily when they hear Mum's car pull into the car park, Mum gets out and walks up to the kennels, she greets Lisa and Rex then lets them out of the kennel, they run around happily and run over to the car, Mum lets them into the boot then talks to the lady, finally she gets in the drivers seat and we head for home.
"Home sweet home" Mum sings as she pulls into the parking lot and gets out, she gets all our bags out, let's the dogs out then unstraps me from the car seat and carries me and the bags to the front door, the dogs follow her as she puts the bags down and unlocks the front door, we enter our warm house, the dogs run off to get a drink of water, the cats come to greet us as Mum heads to the living room and lays me in my bouncer, she goes and fetch's the bags from outside then gets sorted, organising everything, feeds the animals and then starts on dinner, and makes me my bottle, she feeds me while her dinner is cooking, once I ate, I was put back in my bouncer and by that time Mums dinner was ready so she served and sat on the sofa eating her dinner. Once that was finished she cleared up after dinner and cleaned the kitchen then she picks me up and carries me upstairs, laying me on the bed she changes into her pjs, she then changes me, changing my nappy and putting my pjs on, then we head back downstairs and sit on the sofa together, me cradled into Mums arms, she pulls a blanket over her and then the dogs jump onto the sofa and snuggle in, we watch tv together for the evening. She puts on some baby program, I fall asleep watching it, once asleep, Mum changes the program and turns the volume down.
Later that night, she carefully carries me upstairs and lays me in my crib, then lets the dogs out for toilet and finally gets into bed herself.
