Chapter 33

I yawned, giving a big stretch as I wake up, I give a sigh and look around, I look down to see if Marmalade was still there, she was,  I give a smile, I couldn't pat her as she was too far away for my little arms, not long after I hear Mum waking up, she groans as she stretches, she gets up and rubs her face as she walks over to me,
"Good Morning Annie!" She says sleepily as she picks me up and lays me on her bed, she changes my nappy and dresses me, then changes her own clothes too and heads downstairs with me, she puts me in Baby Bud while she feeds the dogs and the cat while fixing our breakfast, she makes herself some cereal while I get my usual bottle, after breakfast she rushes out to the barn with me and puts me in her play pen, she quickly turns out the horses, taking two at a time, Tolo and Fred, Blaze and Thomas, Sunshine had to go out on her own because she's got Princess at foot, then lastly she lets the cow out too, she checks the time and says she's only got time to muck out, so she'll do the rest after work, she starts mucking out everyone's stables, once the stables were mucked out she headed back to the house with me and gets both of us ready, she's rushing around now grabbing my bag making sure I have everything in there that I need, she zips it up quickly and she grabs the dogs leads then rushes outside with her car keys, she comes back after a bit out of breath and picks me up then locks the front door after grabbing her handbag, she opens the car door and puts me in my car seat, she straps me in, throws our bags onto the seat next to me, I see Lisa and Rex in the boot, I smile at them as Mum jumps into the drivers seat and starts the car, she drives out of our own car park, we drive down the beautiful lane leading from our house to the main road, we head to the Doggie Day Care first and drop off Lisa and Rex then we drive to Baby Day Care and i kick about excitedly, I cannot wait to see Paige! Mum smiles as she drives,
"You excited to see your friends Annie?" Mum asks
Finally we arrive at the Baby Day Care, she gets out of the car and opens my door grabbing my bag which she puts over her shoulder, she then picks me up and closes the door, she heads to the entrance and walks in, she smiles at the office ladies and heads to the 0-6 month nursery room, struggling to hold me because I'm wriggling so much out of excitement to see my friend Paige, we walk in and there's Paige on the mat! I coo happily, Mum lays me down next to her and Paige is smiling to me, she tries to roll to her side to face me, I manage to roll to my side facing her, we look into each other and play with each other's hands, Mum talks to Emma for a brief moment before she heads to work,
"Hi there Cathy! How are you doing?" Emma says
"I'm doing okay thanks how are you?"
"I'm doing good. You're later than usual today"
"Yes I'm rushing around just now, I think we got up a bit later and we had to take care of my horses first before we came"
That's alright have a lovely day!"
"Thank you, you too!" She says as she rushes out the room, I don't notice her leave and continue to play with Paige.
We all play together with Emma, soon enough it was lunch time so Emma put all of us into our high chairs and gives all of us our bottles which we all happily drank, after our lunch bottles we get put down for our naps.
I wake up and stretch, I look around sleepily, I see Paige sound asleep in the next crib next to me, I look over to my other side and see Amber awake and trying to roll over in the crib next to me, Amber's like me a silent baby so we don't make a noise therefore we are both lying there waiting for someone to come and get us. After  a bit of waiting Dannielle wakes up, I hear her groaning sleepily, she's one of the noisy babies so at that moment she yells at the top of her lungs as loud as she can, which brings Emma rushing in quietly, she walks over to Danielle and picks her up smoothing her, she looks around and sees Amber and i awake, so she takes Dannielle out to the main area and then comes back she picks up Amber and takes her to join Dannielle, when she comes back for me she notices that Rose is waking up due to Dannielle's cries so she turns and collects Rose before she wakes up any more babies, once Emma had taken Rose through to join with Dannielle and Amber, she comes back and picks me up,
"Good Morning Annie! You're such a good baby!" She says as she carries me into the main room, I look around at Dannielle, Amber and Rose lying on the mat, Emma puts me down to join them, we all play together again, a short while later we all hear another baby crying so she goes to fetch them, I look towards the door to see who has woken up, Emma then comes through with Tracey, Emma puts her down to join all of us and goes back to fetch another baby, she comes back out with Poppy, she plays with us all again until we hear another baby wake up, so Emma goes back to fetch them, she brings out Hannah and Sophie.
"That's everyone awake now, shall we do a story time?"
Emma says as she puts all of us in cradles in a C shape circle and sits in the opening facing all of us, she fetches a book and reads it out loud to us, showing all of us the pictures, it was about a little mouse family who lived in a family home and they had to protect themselves from their cats and dogs, it was an adventure for them everyday and one of the mice always nearly dies every day.
Once the book was over, Emma sat up and sighed,
"That was a tense story!" Emma says smiling, just then parents start to arrive, Rose's, Sophie's, Hannah's, Amber's and Tracey's parents are here so Emma deals with them and says goodbye to the girls, after they leave, it's just Dannielle, Poppy, Paige and I left, not long after that Dannielle's and Poppy's parents arrive, they collect their daughters, say goodbye then they leave, Emma plays with both Paige and i until our parents arrive,
"I think your Mum will come first" Emma says to Paige, and she was right because just then Paige's Mum Angelina arrives and walks up, she picks Paige up and is about to leave when Emma speaks up
"Paige is such a quiet baby, she's a beautiful easy baby."
Angelina nods and Emma continues
"When Dannielle one of the noisy babies woke up, I went in to get her and I saw Paige and Annie awake, I don't know how long they were awake for, they're too quiet!" Emma giggles as Angelina nods and walks out, Emma watches her leave and sighs turning to look at me, she shakes her head as she clicks her tongue.
"What is wrong with Angelina?" Emma says quietly to me as she sits down in front of me so to make sure Angelina doesn't hear, Emma and I play together after a bit, Emma's phone rings she checks it
"Oh it's your Mum" Emma tells me as she answers it, I watch her as she speaks to my mum.
"Hi there it's Emma.... oh okay.... okay sure that's fine.... okay that's fine thanks... have a nice date!.... bye see you tomorrow"
Emma hangs up and looks at me putting her phone away,
"Mum said she cannot come to pick you up because she's going out on a date tonight! So your grandma is coming to pick you up instead!"
We play some more until my Nanna arrives, she comes along the corridor to our area with one of the office ladies,
"Annie's in here" the office lady says
"Thank you" Nanna says as she walks in and smiles at us, Emma sands up and offers her hand
"Hi! I'm Emma, I care for Annie while she's at baby day care"
Nanna takes her hand and they shake hands
"Hi Emma, nice to meet you, I'm Jane, Cathy's Mum, Annie's Grandma"
"Nice to meet you too!"
"Was Annie a good girl?"
"She was amazing, she's a very good quiet baby, When Dannielle one of the noisy babies woke up, I went in to get her and I saw Annie and Paige awake, I don't know how long they were awake for, they're too quiet!"
"Yes she's a very quiet baby, just like her mum, Cathy was very quiet too as a baby"
"Here's Annie's bag" Emma says as she picks up my bag and hands it to Nanna,
"Thank you" Nanna says smiling then turns to me "hey Annie! Nanna's come to collect you!"
I smile and wriggle excitedly, putting my arms up reaching for her, Nanna then picks me up and cuddles me patting my back, she then cradles me in her arms as she turns to Emma,
"Bye bye! Annie say bye bye to Emma" Nanna says
"Bye bye Annie bye bye Jane!" Emma says as I wave back,
Nanna then walks out of the area, down the corridor and walks past the office, she smiles and waved goodbye to the office ladies, we walk outside and over to her car,
"I bought a car seat for my car so that I can take you in my car" Nanna says as she opens the car door and puts me in, strapping me in,
"Grandad's here too!" Nanna says
"Hello Annie!" Grandad says
Nanna checks my buckles then gets into the car and we drive out of the car park, we drive to the Doggy Day Care and park, Grandad gets out, and goes to fetch Rex and Lisa, Nanna and I watch as Grandad speaks to the staff there and then as he greets Rex and Lisa, he walks to the car, Rex pulling excitedly, Lisa walking nicely next to Grandad, when he reaches the car he opens the passenger door
"How shall we put the dogs in the car as the boots not big enough for both?"
"Put Rex in the boot, and put Lisa in the back seat next to Annie as shes calm and we know she's good with Annie" Nanna advices him
"Okay"
Grandad says as he goes round to the boot and opens it, both dogs jump in,
"Lisa! Out, Rex stay!" Lisa jumps out and looks up at him confused, Rex sits happily as Grandad takes off his lead and closes the boot, he then goes round to the back door opposite side from me, and opens it,
"In you go Lisa" Grandad commands and Lisa jumps in next to me, she sits and waits as Grandad takes off her lead and closes the door, Lisa then lays down as Grandad gets into the passenger seat, once he puts his seat belt on Nanna drives out of the car park and we head for home, well my home, once we arrive we park next to Mum's posh car a gold Lexus 380, Grandad and Nanna both get out, Grandad fetches the dogs while Nanna gets me out, she locks the car as they walk up to the house, Nanna unlocks the front door and lets herself in and holds it open for Grandad, he walks in and lets the dogs off the lead, Nanna closes the door and sits on the couch, she takes off my coat and shoes, Grandad heads into the kitchen to make himself and Nanna a cup of tea while Nanna takes me upstairs and changes me into my comfy pyjamas after that she takes me back downstairs and Grandad has made the cup of teas, Nanna puts me down on my Kick n Play, then she joins Grandad on the couch and chat over their cup of tea.
After a while Nanna gets up to make dinner for all of us, Grandad gets up to feed the dogs and cats and then plays with me until dinner is ready,
"Dinner's ready!" Nanna calls so Grandad gets up, picks me up and walks through to the kitchen, he puts me in my high chair as Nanna serves dinner, Nanna walks round and hands me my bottle then both grandparents sit on either side of me and tuck in.
"Mmm that was lovely thank you darling" Grandad says as he finishes,
"You're very welcome darling" Nanna says as she takes the last bite, then they get up and clear away dinner, they clean the kitchen after themselves as I watch them playing with my bottle, once that was done they take me out of the highchair and we all go through to the living room, Grandad and Nanna get on the floor to play with  me until bedtime, Grandad sits on the couch and turns on the tv while Nanna takes me upstairs and gives me my bottle, she lays me in my crib and stays with me singing quietly until I fall asleep, eventually I nod off to dreamland holding Bella.
