A.N. This is at the same time as the previous chapter with Tay.

Jenna:

It was nice being back in Australia. Everything felt familiar, but this time was a lot different from the others. I had been living in the US for over a year now (the record label had sponsored me for a visa on the terms that we went to LA to record our albums) and this didn't feel like home, part of my heart was back in New York with Tay.

My parents faces lit up when they saw me get out of customs. They had to come pick me up because I had sold my apartment and car, so I had nowhere else to go or no way to get anywhere. They smothered me with hugs, not caring if I could breath. Fortunately it didn't last long enough to do me harm. As soon as they were done trying to kill me with love my dad took my rolling luggage, my mom stripped the backpack off my back and we headed out to the car.

The air was warm and humid, but fortunately it was too late for the beaming sun to attack us with it's unbearable heat, it was already behind the treetops on it's way to the sunset. It was still a huge shock for me to have gone from the cold snowing north to the humid hot south of the earth.

I had a lot I had to do, but it would all have to wait at least one day. I was exhausted from both the trip and the jet lag from the drastic change of time zones. I was so tired I fell asleep and took a short nap in the car. Then as soon as we were at my parents house I sluggishly got out and forced myself to walk to my bedroom, which my parents had kept the same from when I was a teenager, and allowed myself to crash for the night.

When I woke up the next morning I laughed at the poster covered walls. I had Blink-182, Good Charlotte, Simple Plan, Green Day, New Found Glory and No Doubt plastered to all the walls. My first acoustic guitar sat in one corner of the room and my drum set sat disassembled in another. It was like I was a kid again.

I went downstairs to get breakfast and changed the SIM card in my phone to my Australian one. As soon as I turned my phone on it filled with messages. All my friends had texted me asking to meet up. I was going to be busy for the next month, but I wouldn't let them get in the way of my time with Tay. I also had to make time to meet up with the guys and write and record our demos for the studio. I used my morning to respond to all my texts and organize my days.

An eternity later I was done and I called up the boys. Whakaio answered the phone it sounded like the others were playing video games in the background. After a quick bit of small talk, Whak invited me over to his house (like he had a choice).

Time flew over the next few weeks. We were writing our long list of songs trying to add a new twist to it, something refreshing to make sure the fans didn't get bored of the same old songs. It was a ton of fun hanging out with my boys again. Somehow we clicked perfectly together. We were a non blood related family.

At night I was busy too. I had made plans every night until Tay got here. I enjoyed my free time to go out and party. Tay was a lot of fun to be around but she wasn't really the kind of girl that partied all night. Every Saturday I went out and drank a little too much and the next morning I was greeted by a horrible hangover. I swore I woudn't do it again, but my friends were a terrible influence.

The weekend before Tay was going to get there I skipped out on the drinking games. I finally had enough willpower to keep out of the drinking games. I was so excited I was going to see her again. I had missed her like crazy. She looked like she was getting by okay when I skyped with her. I wasn't too worried. She had always smiled at least once while we talked and she said she was okay. I took her word.

The day finally came. I waited at the airport for an hour, just in case the plane arrived early (wishful thinking). I felt my whole body warm up and glow with joy when I saw her and she seemed to do the same. She looked so much better in person than on the computer. Maybe it was because I could touch her and squeeze her and kiss her.

I was so thankful that my dad had lent me his car and my parents decided to go out of town for the weekend. I knew they wanted to meet my girlfriend, but they also knew we had been apart for a while and would want some alone time.

I had planned a romantic evening and had cooked us a meal that just had to be heated up as soon as we got home. I set the table with a white table cloth, white plates with flower decor around the edges, a crystal vase with red roses and silver candle holders with red sticks.

I took Tay's luggage up to the room and told her to sit while I warmed the food. Right before I served everything I lit the candles and kissed her lips. "Welcome to Australia, my love." I whispered to her.

"I love it already" she replied.

Dinner was amazing. I was quite impressed with my cooking skills.

Afterwards we headed upstairs. I was ready to show her what an "Australian kiss" was. As soon as we reached my room I couldn't keep my hands off her. I grabbed her hands and held them above our heads pushing her against the wall. "You're mine now." I said with a sensual smile that Tay eagerly mirrored. I let go of her hands and slowly lifted her shirt. At first it was one of the sexiest moments, the anticipation to see her beautiful skin, but then I got to her arms. The farther I lifted the farther my heart sank.

I didn't stop because I wanted to know just how bad it was. There were only a few cuts on her upper arms, but her forearms were covered. I started to feel light headed and dizzy. I couldn't keep my balance, I fell backwards. My butt landed on the floor and my head hit the mattress behind me. All I could do was stare in horror and heartache.
