Chapter 10

Jess POV

I wake up in the morning with the worst headache.

I open my eyes and don't recognise the room I'm in.

I look around and my eyes land on Eva who was asleep on the armchair in the room.

Eva POV

I open my eyes to see Jess staring at me.

"E- Eva" "your awake how are you feeling" I say jumping up

I grab a glass of water and some ibuprofen for Jess.

"I have a really bad headache and feel like I could throw up any second but what are we doing in a hotel room you haven't like kidnapped me have you" she says and laughs slightly at the last bit

"No of course I haven't you um something happened at the party last night" "what happened Eva" she asks concerned

Flashback to last night

I was standing in the corner of the room on my own and on my phone.

I was not up for partying at all.

Out of the corner of my eye I see Jess with a girl and they seemed to be flirting which did make me jealous.

I move closer to them so I could hear their conversation.

"Let me get you a drink" the girl says Jess "no tha- thanks" "come on just one more" "fi- fine"

There was something not right about this girl.

A few minutes later the girl comes back.

"Drink up" she says with a mischievous look in her eye

Jess takes a few sips from the drink and instantly doesn't look right.

"Ha- have you put something in th- this" I hear Jess ask "what no of course not"

"I don't feel right" Jess says "well I best get you upstairs" the other girl says and grabs Jess's hand

She starts taking Jess upstairs and that's when I follow them.

We both get upstairs at the same time and run over to them.

I grab Jess's hand and pull her away from the girl.

"Eva" she slurs and grabs onto me

"Who the fuck are you" the girl shouts

"Her girlfriend now what the fuck have you done to her drink" "nothing and anyway she's not a very good girlfriend you should've seen her she was all over me" she shouts

"Shut the fuck up and stop lying to me I'm not stupid I know you spiked it and you were about to take advantage of her weren't you"

"Yes I was she was an easy target" the girl laughs "your fucking crazy"

Just then I see Amelie Blake's girlfriend.

"What's going on here" she asks "Amelie you need to call the cops this girl spiked Jess's drink"

The girl goes to run away but Amelie grabs her.

"I'll deal with this don't worry do you have Jess's drink though"

I grab the drink out of Jess's hand.

"He- hey that's my drink" she slurs "you can't drink it though Jess" "but I want it"

"Please Jess you can't have it I'll give you some water in a minute" "I don't want water" "I know your not understanding me right now but water is the best thing for you at the moment"

I pass Jess's drink to Amelie and she thanks me.

"Right get Jess out of here" Amelie says "I will"

I pick Jess up and get out of the house.

"Wh- why are we leaving" "because I need to get you safe"

I put her in the passenger seat of my car and do the belt up I then get in the drivers side.

"I really don't feel good Eva" she slurs "I know Jess but please just stay awake for me for now" I say grabbing her hand

We eventually arrive at the hotel and I book a room for the night, I carry her up to the room.

I then pass her some spare clothes to change into that were in my car.

"Ev- Eva can you help me please" she asks "of course"

I help her get changed and I then give her some water which drinks before getting into the bed and instantly falling asleep.

Present time

"I don't know how to thank you Eva you saved my life" she says "I couldn't have anything happen to you Jess"

She comes and hugs me and burys her head into the crook of my neck.

"I'm sorry for getting so angry at you the other night" she says

"You have nothing to be sorry about I'm the one who's sorry I never should've trusted Connor"

"Can we be friends again" I ask as she pulls away from the hug "hmm no"

"Oh" I say my face falling "Eva I'm kidding of course I don't really know what I'd do without you as a friend" she says and I smile

"Oh yeah like I say I did say to that bitch you were my girlfriend I hope you don't mind" I say "Of course I don't Eva"

Just then my phone rings and it's Amelie I answer the phone and and am on the phone for ten minutes.

"Is everything okay" Jess asks as I hang up "yeah we need to go to the police station I need to give a statement about last night and they need to see if you remember anything from last night" I say

"If your okay with that though" I continue to say "of course that's okay"

"I have some clothes in my car you can change into" "Eva they will be tiny on me"

"Maybe the sweatpants but the hoodie is actually yours" "okay thanks"

I go to my car and grab the clothes I then go back to the hotel room and give them to Jess.

She goes in the bathroom and changes and comes back a few seconds later.

"Okay well the sweatpants are a bit small" she says and I laugh

"Right you ready to go" I say "no I think I'm going to throw up" she says and runs to the bathroom

I go in the bathroom and hold her hair back as she throws up.

"Thanks" she says "no problem"

We arrive at the police station.

"You sure your okay doing this" I ask "yes positive"
