Chapter 70

*One month later

Jess POV

I wake up and see Eva next to me.

She came back a few days later after she left.

We spoke and are okay, sort of.

You wouldn't think we're a couple, we don't kiss anymore, we don't cuddle and we barely say I love you.

She still finds it hard seeing me and Daisy together but she's getting used to it.

I get out of bed and change into a hoodie and sweats.

I leave the room and go to Anna's room and knock on the door.

"Come in" Daisy shouts

"No don't" Anna says

"Wow are you two up to something" I laugh

"No you just can't come in" Anna says

I ignore her and walk into the room.

Anna had something in her hand but hides it behind her back.

"What's that boon"

"Nothing well it is but-"

"You can't find out until later" Daisy says cutting Anna off

"Why" I ask

"You'll see later on"

"Just turn around quickly and don't look" Anna says

"Okay fine"

I turn around and Anna I hear Anna put something in a box.

"You can turn back around" Anna says and I do so

"Anyway I was um wondering if I could talk to Daisy" I ask

"Yeah sure I'll be down in a few minutes" Daisy smiles

"Thanks"

I go downstairs and I see Eva sat in the living room.

"Hey" I smile

"Hey"

She grabs my hand and starts playing with my rings which makes me smile, she hasn't done that for ages.

"You sleep well" I ask

"Yeah I could've done with a cuddle though" she says and pulls a sad face

"Well there's always tonight" I smile and so does she

Just then Daisy comes over and Eva's smile falls.

"You ready to talk" Daisy asks

"Yeah"

"I'll see you in a bit" I say to Eva

"Yeah" she mumbles

Eva lets go of my hand and I walk outside with Daisy.

"So what did you want to talk about" Daisy asks as we sit down on a sun lounger

"Why you just left" I ask and she looks down

"Maybe we shouldn't talk about it"

"Oh no I think we should I deserve an answer Daisy"

"I know you do it's just- just"

"Just what" I ask

"I don't want to talk about it" she says I look up at her and she has tears in her eyes

I go to say something but she gets up and walks back inside.

I sigh and lay back on the sun lounger.
