Chapter 72

*One week later

Jess POV

"Have a um good time in Canada" I say and smile weakly at Eva

"Thanks I um hope you have a good Christmas"

"What are you actually doing for Christmas" Eva asks

"I'm going back to England and spending it with Daisy"

"Oh" she says and her face falls

"Don't worry please Eva"

"I won't well I will and you know it" she says and giggles nervously

"Yeah, and I know we're on a break but like I promised a week ago I'm not going to hookup with anyone I couldn't do that to you and I wouldn't do it anyway" I say and she smiles

"Wait I um wasn't going to give you this but I am and you can do what you want with it" Eva says and runs upstairs

She comes back down and passes me an envelope.

"Your Christmas present is in there"

"I um thanks"

I quickly run up my room looking for the present I got Eva.

I find it in a draw, I grab it and then go back downstairs and pass it to her.

"Thanks" she says and smiles weakly

"Your welcome anyway I'll let you go catch your flight"

"See you later"

"Bye" I say and she leaves

I turn around and walk into the living room where Daisy was.

"You okay" Daisy asks

"Yeah she gave me my Christmas present" I say and show Daisy the envelope

"Open it then" Daisy says excitedly

I open the envelope and pull out a ticket, I read it and my eyes go wide.

"What is it" Daisy asks

"A flight to New York" I reply

I feel myself tear up as I remember the conversation me and Eva had when I said I'd love to go to New York for Christmas.

That's why she was asking me what I was doing for Christmas in September.

"Why don't you go" Daisy says

"Because firstly I want to go with Eva and secondly I won't be back in time for Christmas and I was actually looking forward to spending that with you" I say and she smiles

"Your cute"

"Not as cute as you" I smirk and she blushes

Fuck why did I say that.

"Do you think if you and Eva weren't a thing you would get back with me" she asks and I look at her in shock

Deep down I probably would but no one can find that out.

"No because you broke me Daisy when you left and you still won't explain why" I say

"I will explain and I promise you that and also I am sorry"

"Look we're friends again let's not talk about it yet and just have a good Christmas" I smile and so does she

"Now let's go pack our flights tomorrow"

I go upstairs and start packing, I was packing when my phone buzzes.

I look and see a message from Eva.
