"I don't want to speak to him, I don't even want to look at him." Rinyoung hissed, turning her body away from Taeyong who desperately pleaded for her to at the very least listen to the boy's attempts. "No, Taeyong, I know I've crossed a few lines, but he had gone way further than what I did."

"You both crossed the lines, what's the difference?" The older argued, moving in front of her to maintain eye contact.

"He literally told me that my only worth was for money and sex!" Furious, she threw her hands up in the air, revealing the red finger marks on her forearms, caused by her anxious grippings to her skin.

"You also degraded him. You called him pathetic and his life a waste. God, both of you are so much alike! You two are too prideful to even admit that you were also in the wrong! And not to forget, equally too!" Taeyong ranted, having finally given up at talking to the stubborn girl, making her shoulders drop in realization of the negativity, her soulmate and her caused to those around them. "This is my last time asking, but please try to hear him out as well as apologize for the things you said." He sighed as he ruffled his air to let out his frustration on something else as well as keep his composure.

Outside of the hospital room, Haechan and the other boys had waited outside to give the pair space to talk. Though it was clear, it was more of an argument than a casual conversation.

"You need to apologize hyuck." Jaehyun muttered, patting the boy lightly on his back for a sort of comfort. "You guys are soulmates, you're gonna have to be there for each other. You literally can't live with out one another. So i say, for once, put your pride and ego to the side and speak from the heart."

"Yeah listen to Jaehyun, he actually met his soulmate." Jungwoo spoke in almost a sad tone, but he smiled lightly through his words.

"We'll all find our soulmates one day, but let's focus on those who have already and are on the brink of losing them." Renjun stated, squinting his eyes at Donghyuck who sheepishly smiled.

"The thing is," Johnny pondered, looking up to the ceiling as he thought. "Our Donghyuck has never apologized."

"Yeah he's just a stuck up bitch." Jaemin hissed, sticking his tongue out at the boy in question.

"Wow, how mature. But I have. I think." Donghyuck himself began to wonder a time he had genuinely apologized.

"Wow, your very first serious apology."
"About time."
"Is Donghyuck finally gonna put aside his pride?"

All of the boys collectively began to tease the Lee, making his cheeks redden in embarrassment at how true their remarks were.

"Oh shut up, I get it." He grumbled, waving his hand— dismissing their banter. He slowly turned his head to the panel of glass that separated him and his soulmate. His chocolate orbs raked over her slouched figure as Taeyong consoled her on who knows what. Seeing her lift her head made him freeze in his spot, allowing the girl to make eye contact with him.

Taeyong turned his sight to where the girl was focused on, and as soon as he saw Donghyuck's face, he knew they were finally ready to speak. He patted her head, and squeezed her shoulder in encouragement as he whispered one more thing.

And it must've been something good as Donghyuck could feel his chest tighten and relax simultaneously.

"Go on, you got this big boy." Jisung cheered, making the others around him laugh.

"Thanks but don't ever call me that." The boy grumbled, walking towards the door, where Taeyong had just come out of.

Before Donghyuck could go in, Taeyong held his shoulder, making him stay in place. He made direct eye contact with the younger, making sure he knew what he's about to say, he'd have to listen closely.

"You'll realize you both aren't as independent as you lead on. Just like everyone else in this world, you need that someone and that someone is each other. Be gentle. You both need this apology."
