— FRIVOLOUS

"I'm gonna kill them." Donghyuck muttered under his breath, his fingers tangled in his locks— occasionally tugging on them to release his frustration. His steps continuously echoed throughout the large home as he paced back and forth in front of Rinyoung.

The girl was now showered as she was adorned in his clothes and wrapped in a bundle of blankets. She quietly ate the left overs Donghyuck heated up, her eyes glued to his angered expression as she sat on his couch.

"Who are they?" The male asked, stopping in his tracks as his face turned to her. Rinyoung's mind went blank, stunned from his sudden question. "I said, who are they!" He yelled, making the girl flinch in her seat.

"I-I don't know." She stuttered, lip quivering from his change in tone and volume.

The young woman was never a fan of people yelling, as she frequently found herself shaking and flinching at their booming voices. And, as she heard him yell for the first time, Rinyoung came to the conclusion that she was scared of him the most.

"Don't you want to find them! Or are you gonna let them walk all over you if they see you again!" Donghyuck scolded, his voice dropping multiple octaves as he stormed towards her cowering figure. "You're so—"

"Haechan." Jaehyun emerged from the kitchen with Taeyong and Doyoung trailing behind. The older momentarily softened and handed Rin a cup of tea, before turning and walking up to the younger. "I know you're angry right now, but you have to lower your voice and soften your tone a bit. The last thing you want right now, is scaring Young further."

"Whatever, but why were you even out so late? Don't you know it's not safe for girls like you. Something worse could have happened to you!"

"I was kicked out of my home—"

"Hyung can we keep her! I'll feed her and buy her clothes!" A voice interrupted the girl, as the boy jumped out from behind Jaehyun.

"Mark, she's not a dog," Taeyong scolded, shaking his head at the boy's antics. "but I don't see why not, unless Young is against it."

"I can get a hotel. I don't want to be a bother and intrude your personal space." Rinyoung stood, her legs trembling, but Donghyuck quickly pushed her back down on the couch. He rolled his eyes and tsked at her naive actions.

"God, don't stand up, you're not in the right state." He mumbled, crossing his arms over his chest, as he sat down on the arm rest.

Doyoung raised a brow at the scene in front of him. Donghyuck sat close to the girl, growing protective, sitting guard just in case something happened abruptly.

"Don't worry, we have plenty of space for another. Me, the boys and especially Haechan wouldn't want you to leave as well. So please, just stay with us, we want you to be safe." A warm smile was drawn on Taeyong's face, welcoming the girl genuinely.

Rinyoung couldn't hold back her grin either.

"Why aren't you crying? You just got kicked out and-"

Ignoring his next words, the girl shook her head and waved her hands dismissively. "I would've ran away sooner or later."

"Why? Aren't you like rich? I thought I saw a snobby rich person party for a soulmate moment." Donghyuck felt his heart drop after saying his words, but it wasn't his emotions, it was hers, which bewildered him.

Rinyoung's smile drop, making the atmosphere go cold.

"They would've just married me off to another heir," She paused for a second, collecting her words and recomposing herself. "And trust me, I'm not bred to be some trophy wife to be at some guy's beck and call. I originate from pearls and silk pajamas, but I rather do something better than what I was made for."

To clear things up,, The two don't know each other's real names and lives still. Although, Rin had gotten a glimpse during that fight scene, Donghyuck still has no clue that she is Im Rinyoung.

They only know each other by Haechan and Kim Young, their aliases. :)
