— RUNAWAY MOTHER
uneditedRinyoung stared at herself— eyes tantalizingly roaming the bleak fabric of the clinical gown. The feeling of disgust rolled over her clawed at her throat painfully.
Her knees buckled and her lip began to quiver— hot beads of frustration beginning to dew her full cheeks.
She felt as if her world was being torn apart right in front of her and she had no power to do absolutely anything.
Slowly, the female led her palms to her stomach— cupping her fingers around the bump. Her small hands felt so full— yet so empty. Rinyoung's whole soul ached and throbbed as if her wound she once closed was being ripped open.
She fell at the hands of her family.
A tight grip encircled her wrist and pulled her into one of the many unrecognizable rooms of her large childhood home. A loud squeak of surprise and the instinct to punch the person kicking in as she threw her elbow back into their abdomen.
The man groaned, releasing her and stumbling back to a near wall.
Rinyoung turned on her heels— automatically recognizing the distinct features and rushing out mumbles of apologies. "Jinyoung, I'm so sorry I thought—"
"It's okay," he groaned, pushing himself up. He rubbed the area she impacted, easing the soreness. "I wouldn't blame you. Jaebum didn't really bring you home that well,"
"Yeah," she laughed awkwardly, finger fidgeting at her front— unsure of what to make of the given situation. "But why did you grab me?"
"I need to talk to you," He answered simply, patting down his wrinkled dress shirt.
Her hands clenched tightly onto the gown cloth— crumpling it in her hands.
"Do you trust me?" Jinyoung asked, his hand holding hers in brotherly comfort.
"Should I?" She felt confused, bewildered and most of all reluctant.
"Rinyoung, stop stalling," Jaebum growled, knocking harshly on the bathroom door. His fists pounded against the thin wood— shaking it violently which contrasted the atmosphere of the entire clinic. The receptionist winced at his rude and loud behavior, though they chose to not speak upon it.
Letting out an exhausted sigh, she tightened the strings on her back before leaving the bathroom to the common area. The men all turned their heads away in respect, except her brother who only scoffed and gripped her wrist in his calloused grasp.
"You're only a disappointment, why don't you lessen it," He growled, shoving her towards the long hallway— flicking his wrist roughly.
"Easy," Jinyoung hissed, catching the woman, in his arms. He's always been protective of the younger— and completely fed up with the actions always made against her. "Me and the boys will take her. Why don't you try to calm down, huh? And gain some respect," He seethed— voice deepening with his mood.
"I promise you, you're not gonna lose your child," He reassured, squeezing her hands in attempts to calm the female's racing heart.
"Yeah whatever," Jaebum waved them off, prompting the six men to escort the woman down the hallway— turning a sharp left instead of continuing straight down to the physicians.
They looked back momentarily, before crouching down to her ears— wanting little to no one except them to hear their exchange.
"You see that door," Mark asked, signaling to the frame ahead.
Rinyoung nodded firmly, her feet becoming lighter with each step she took.
"Slip out from there, turn a right and a car will be waiting for you," He informed, urging her forward with his palm.
"Never look back," Jinyoung advised, patting her shoulder.
"What about,"
"Care about yourself and your baby girl," The Tuan interrupted, speed walking and pushing her further towards her escape.
"My what—" She whisper-yelled but before she could get another word out— she was completely pushed out of the door and into the alley.
"Go," They demanded, shutting the frame leaving the woman all alone in a secluded area— in just her gown.
Instinctive she began running to where they instructed. Her feet skidded across the grimy floor yet she never gave in. When she spotted the car— she looked ahead and saw a whole line of traffic adorning the main street. She cursed under her breath, already hearing the loud yelling of her enraged brother and the heavy footsteps closing in on her.
At that moment, she didn't dare think or care, she had to move, and quick.
Her bare feet scraped against the harsh concrete pavement from her rapid movements. She ignored the stares and the judgmental gasps— the only thing her mind bore was Donghyuck.
Imagining him engulfing her in his warmth once again after what felt like an eternity without him made her feet move faster— to the point she was scared they moved too quick that she would eventually fall and fail. But she pushed. She pushed through her ragged breathing, her burning lungs and mentality of caring what others had the audacity to think of her.
Amid her pursuit, she lifted her right sleeve. Her hands worked wonders— instantaneously pulling off the bandaid that ever so mercilessly restricted her from the person she desired the most.
"Baby," She cried into their communication void, her voice echoing loudly in her head. "I'm coming. I'm coming home to you,"
welll doesn't this look familiar
