The following week, Rinyoung made sure to lift her spirits, particularly today, as she became tired of her sulking state.

She put on her favorite outfit, which consisted of a white turtle neck and a black flowy skirt that fell to her mid thigh. Accompanying her signature pearls, gold hung from her neck and ears, and also littering her slender fingers.

Today, was the day, she felt like an Im.

She'd always brush off her surname, as she didn't fit in with the title given to her, but this particular day, she felt the sickening power her family held, at her finger tips. Her orbs raked over her figure in the full-length mirror. A confident smirk graced her lips, eyeing the way her clothes hugged her body in the right places.

Turning away from her reflection, Rinyoung gathered her essentials in a bag and began to walk down to her front door.

As she passed the kitchen, a scoff drew her attention to the marbled counter island. "Isn't your skirt too short?"

"Awh, you think so? Great. I'll make sure to pull it up more." She replied in a cheery voice, smiling at her mother.

"Don't make a fool of yourself."

"Thanks for telling me. More of a reason to do so. I hope you have a good day. Bye mother." Rinyoung chimed, her long dark hair swinging through the air as she swiftly turned on her heels. The beige Stilettos clicked against the flooring, the noise bounced off of the walls and followed her in an echo, as she left for school.

. . .

Walking through the corridors, lingering students couldn't help but stare at her small get-up. Boy's whistled lowly, watching as skin teasingly peaked out from the black skirt— girls whispered and gossiped about her shameless nature.

"She's so annoying."
"Who does she think she is?"
"That outfit looks nice though.."

"Probably on daddy's money." A girl snickered with her friends, bad mouthing the Im. Her comment made Rinyoung stop in her tracks, silencing the chatter.

She turned her head to the trio of girl's, a pearly smile flashing on her face. "Oh baby. I am daddy's money."

"Aren't y-you a little too confident?" The blonde haired girl fired back, her stoic tone wavering in the midst of her question.

"It's called a god complex, darling. Maybe if you didn't have your head shoved so far up your ass, you could experience it." Rinyoung purred, a triumphant smirk tugging on the corners of her lips.

. . .
SEVERAL HOURS LATER
. . .

Her mother was a ticking time bomb, waiting for the day everything would crash down and burn, yet she was relentless to let it happen.

Today was the day, the older woman ran out of chances to give— patience running dangerously thin.

"Do you want to be put on a leash or something? You can never behave correctly!" Rinyoung's mother yelled, as her palm met the delicate skin of her daughter's cheek. The young girl's face whipped to the side from the impact of her mother's hand gracing her flesh with searing pain. "The least you can do for the family is not make a damn fool of yourself in public, as you don't do anything else! But you can't do that either I guess. You're such a fucking disgrace to the Im name."

"Mother—" Rinyoung had gone partying at the club tonight, as she wanted to get rid of her problems and lift her mood, even if it was only for a night. But her evening festivities had been cut short unwillingly .

Rinyoung had gotten into an argument with a rivaling heir who had been at the same club coincidentally. The sight wasn't pretty, as she had to be dragged out of the establishment by security.

Heavily breathing in and out, she didn't feel the liquor pump her adrenaline any more. Rinyoung felt completely sober— the stinging of her cheek reeling her down from her drunken high.

"Get the fuck out of my house."

"Mom—"

"You're not my daughter. Leave this damn house now."
