The car ride home was dead silent as Donghyuck had zoomed through the city— his speed being way over the limit, yet the car was still on their tail.

Clueless to everything, Rinyoung glanced at her sides in panic. She could sense his anger and it did not help her nerves at all. She peered through the windows, but the dark haired girl immediately turned her head back to the front once hearing the male's deep voice.

"Keep your face hidden," He growled, grip tightening on the steering wheel— his knuckles turning a ghostly white.

"Y'know if you're just doing this because I called you sexy, I take it back, you can stop freaking me out now—" She rambled nervously, fiddling with her fingers in her lap. Her head was down just as he had initially instructed, though she so desperately wanted to raise it.

"Young," He hissed, cutting off her tangent. The atmosphere dropped to an icy feel as the unbearable burden of thoughts that crowded the girl's mind weighing her down immensely. "I'll tell you later, just—" He exasperatedly sighed, feeling his anger bubble and begin to peak through. But he had to remember to breathe. He exhaled deeply— his nostrils flaring. His tone significantly softened as his hands loosened enough for his knuckles to return back to their natural tan color.

"Just listen to me right now, okay?" He whispered, guilt lacing together with his words making his voice come off a bit shaky.

Silently Rinyoung nodded. Her heart clenched painfully, it wasn't that he wasn't telling her anything. She knew his life was full of secrets and dangers as a gang member. She knew a mere fraction of what went through his mind from her previous experiences with illegal racing, but it was the fact that her alias was used and not her real name.

It was something so small, yet it meant so much to her. She internally scoffed at herself for being like this. How could she be thinking of her feelings right now when Donghyuck's and Hyun woo's were at stake?

Abruptly stopping, Rinyoung jolted in her seat. Thankfully she wore a seatbelt as it had restricted her collision with the car's dashboard. Reluctantly she peaked to the side to where Donghyuck sat, already unbuckling his seatbelt. She sneakily stared at him as he got up in his seat and reached into the back. He blindly rummaged through the pocket behind his seat. It was until he finally had got his hands on the item that he sat properly in his seat again.

"You can raise your head, but only look at me," He murmured, prompting his soulmate to do as he had said.

Rinyoung raised her head, eyes trained on his figure until her dark orbs pooled into his. She watched as they hardened right before her.

"Put this on, and," He placed a cap firmly on her head, both hands adjusting it to ensure that at least half of her face was covered. Finally getting it to the point where he nose and lips were only visible when she had her gaze lowered, he hastily pulled off his black leather jacket and placed it on her lap.

"Put this over Hyun woo and carry him to your chest, not on your hip or on your side. Make sure to enter the house immediately, don't look bad at me. I already texted Taeyong to unlock the door," Donghyuck informed— a scowl enveloping his facial features as he could see movement in his peripheral vision.

Rinyoung balled her fists tightly. She intently watched as her knuckles turned an unnatural white, similar to her soulmate had previously. She couldn't help but ask, though she knew he wouldn't answer the way she wanted him to. "What's happening, Hyuck?" Her shaky voice made his eyelids flutter down. He clenched his eyes shut— pursing his lips in a frown.

"You'll be alright," His reply was dry and lacked of any emotion and essential details— just as she thought, but it didn't satisfy.

"Fuck, I don't care about me," She whisper-yelled. She mustered up her courage and raised her head once again, her eyes now daring and her tone now stronger than before. "What about you?"

"I'll be fine," Donghyuck mumbled, his apologetic stare seemingly having an effect on his soulmate as she visually relaxed, but only a little, as so much more needed to be confirmed and revealed. However, Rinyoung chose to stop her questions, forced herself to believe that he would do as he promised later.

"Okay," "Okay,"  They stated firmly— the word previously becoming like a second way for them to express the same feelings when saying a specific three worded sentence.

They repeated it once more, a lot softer with their raw emotions peaking through.

"You should go in now," Rinyoung nodded, unbuckling her belt, internally preparing herself to follow his earlier instructions.

She turned towards her door, head down as planned. Inhaling a great intake of air, she opened it and right as she slipped out and began to close it, the brunette male spoke quickly.

"Stay safe for me,"

It happened all too fast. Her nerves kept her on her toes as she immediately opened the backseat. She unbuckled the sleeping child and brought him to her chest, throwing on the jacket to hide him. As she did all this, she could feel a set of eyes burn her back. Her heart rate began to quicken as well as her movements.

Like she's done many times, she began to run to the door— her heels making the whole experience even more painful.

Just as she was at arms reach from the knob, the door opened. Instantly she was pulled inside. Her tight grip on Hyun woo loosening from relief.

But she wasn't finished. Ignoring the members protests, she passed the child to Johnny and opened the door again. Stumbling outside, she was just in time to see her soulmate enter a mysterious tinted car.
