— FIRST HELLO
unedited
Donghyuck slowed the vehicle to a stop. It halted in front of a one story beige home. Rinyoung hesitantly moved her head to get a better look at the abode. It was a bit unkept with unruly plants overgrown in all sorts of places, and the paint on the house seemed to start to peel."It's not much," The brunette murmured whilst taking out his keys and stopping the engine. "But it's home,"
Rinyoung could hear the uneasy feeling in his voice. It was clear as day.
Her head whipped around to face him, her honey orbs drowning in reassurance as they pooled into his. "I actually like this more than my house," A genuine lop-sided smile graced her lips as she spoke delicately, "It's got more character than that big piece of crap,"
Her small joke reeled a small chuckle from her soulmate making her grin grow further as she counted that as a victory in her book.
"Yeah, you can expect a lot of character," He grumbled, already envisioning the chaos that would rip through his plans of a peaceful meeting.
"Hyun will have a lot of fun then," Rinyoung chimed, pushing the car door open, now fully prepared to face her future in laws.
Doing the same, Donghyuck exited the car. For a few moments, he stood frozen overlooking the home he grew up in as his soulmate got the little boy from his seat.
His eyes raked over the small house's appearance— the simple yet messy looking sight invoking a sort of nostalgia that wrapped around his heart and squeezed it.
Rinyoung came up to him, Hyun woo on her right hip as her left hand rubbed her soulmate's back. At that moment, she could feel a calm emotion wash over him— bringing her a sense of relief.
The male looked to his side— down at the pair, a tight lipped smile on his face. "Hyun, if they're too loud, just tell me and i'll tell them to shut up,"
"Hyuck," Rinyoung gasped, slapping his back.
"Ow, what?" He groaned, reaching his hand over his shoulder to rub the area.
"Be nice to your siblings," She scolded, walking off towards the house.
"No promises," He yelled, jogging up to them— trying to catch up to her side.
Right as they first stepped onto the property, the front door had swung open— revealing three children, all varying in different ages from 14 to 8, with an older woman— her face decorated with a warm smile. "Hyuck!" They yelled, rushing to the pair, specifically the male, to envelope him in their arms.
