41 || 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐓𝐇 𝐎𝐅 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐓𝐓

During the drive inside the ambulance with his old friend, Katie Reynolds, Donnie thought about his wife and what she was currently feeling at this very moment. He felt useless and hopeless being this far away from her. He picked and tapped at his bionic hand, feeling how smooth it was in some areas, but most of it was scratched up. He is so stressed, it was the only thing he fidgeted with until he finally glanced out of the back windows.

He could see other vehicles and members of the Titans scurrying around the area, rushing to find their necessities for traveling to Spokane. Gulping a big knot in his throat, Donnie could feel the tears welling in his eyes. "Osa." He says faintly.

He prayed that she was well and that he could get in time. He can only imagine what she would be going through without him. And when Osa was with the doctors and Vincent, she became increasingly uncomfortable.

Osa was having a hard time in bed, blood oozing from her pelvic area, the baby's umbilical cord still attached with the placenta inside her, and seeing how... gone her son was. Vincent held her friend's hand firmly, making sure that Osa knew she wasn't going anywhere. Vv showed so much support and refused to leave her friend's side.

After Tom cut the cord from the baby, disconnecting Osa and her son, he draped a blanket over the baby's body to conceal him. He gently set the infant's covered body on a table, secured in the blanket. Still, Osa was having a hard time accepting that her child had been lost, all because of the Alpha. Her son would still be breathing.

Many minutes had gone by, at least fifteen minutes, and Lin was nearly done cleaning Osa up, but something was not right. Lin had done a pelvic exam to see if the placenta was ready to be birthed. A sudden visual made her realize that this is far from over. Lin glanced up at Osa, her eyes wide with shock. "Osa." Lin says, causing the shifter to look at her between her legs.

"What?" Osa muttered, tears still in her eyes.

Lin couldn't speak after making this discovery, but she finally managed to. "There's another..."

"Two?!" Vincent and Tom exclaimed. This was great news! It was terrifying and unexpected, but there is a second child present inside Osita.

Right away, Lin begins preparing Osa to give birth to her second baby, placing a clean towel under her rear. "Twins." She says quietly.

"W-What?!" Osa trembled, looking up at them, unsure how to feel or take in this news. She had no idea. She was carrying twins this entire time? They're premature and have been badly bruised. One died, and Osa thought she lost it all, but two? There's a chance this one is alive. How was she not feeling two?

It's all happening so fast. Lin had Osa scoot down closer to the end of the bed as she prepared her supplies for this second birth. While Lin and Tom prepped for this surprise twin, Osa couldn't feel any contractions coming on just yet. Was there still something wrong?

"Why can't I feel contractions?" She worried.

"Your body will feel them momentarily," Tom told her. "Just sit tight. Sometimes the birth of twins is spread out."

While this unexpected turn of events was unfolding, Duke pushed through the door with some great news. The greatest news to Osa's ears. "Hey! Donnie just got to Spokane! He's almost here!" He says before running back into the hallway.

"Oh, good!" Osa breathed out, leaning upward on her elbows. "I'll wait."

"What?" Tom looked at her. "Osa, you can't just keep the baby in! It's dangerous."

"I am NOT having this baby until my husband gets here..." She hissed at him.

Vincent decided to speak. "Osa. You'll hurt yourself and the baby if you don't push on this next contraction. Please. It'd kill Donnie if you died during childbirth. He'd rather miss the birth of his baby than you ending up dead because you didnt push when you were supposed to."
