"It's not healing properly." Elijah said as he examined my wrist.

"You're a doctor now?" I spoke. He smirked, lightly laughing.

"No. It is just my observation, darling."

He wrapped it back up.

"If it doesn't heal correctly, I may have to break it again."

"Again, where's the MD in front of your name?"

"It's there. Only the nice ones can see it." He smiled.

My eyes caught sight of the picture Ella drew of us. I stared at Klaus' figure, sighing. It had been a week since his attack.

Ella and I hadn't seen him, he refused to even talk to me. He blamed himself for what happened, despite the fact he didn't have control of his own body.

"How is he?" I asked.

Elijah took a deep breath, shaking his head.

"Niklaus is his own enemy. He sits in his room all day, lashing out at anyone who tries to visit. I will say, he is taking this extremely difficult."

"We have to do something. The Hollow is still around and he needs his head in the game."

"My thoughts exactly, however, Niklaus is too much of a mess."

"So, what are we supposed to do?"

"I'm figuring it out as we speak." Elijah hopefully spoke.

"Hi, beautiful." I hugged Ella once Elijah and I entered the compound.

"Did you enjoy your time with Hayley?"

"Yes! It was so cool. I met this wolf, Mary, she's so nice."

"I know. She's so cool." I mocked her.

"Hey, mom?"

"Yes?"

"I wanna see dad."

"I don't think that's a good idea." Hayley told her while I looked to Elijah.

"How about Mommy and Uncle Eli check on daddy? We won't tell him you're coming so you can surprise him."

"Okay." She nodded.

"I'll keep an eye on her." Hayley said.

I nodded, tightly hugging her.

"Thank you. I know what happened to Jack gives you no reason to still be around but you're protecting her, so thanks, Hayley."

"You gave your life to save us, despite his death. The least I can do is protect this little angel." She smiled at Ella.

I turned on my heels, following Elijah up the stairs. He took a deep breath, stopping outside the door before opening it and going in.

"Get out!" Klaus instantly yelled, grabbing Elijah's collar and pushing him against the wall.

"Niklaus, restrain yourself before I put you down like the wild dog you are."

"Elijah!" I scolded him.

He was only making it worse.

"No, he's right." Klaus agreed, letting him go and backing up.

"You're not a wild dog, Klaus."

"Go!" He yelled, angrily moving toward me.

I took a step back before Elijah stopped him.

"If you lay a finger on her, I will euthanize you myself. Are we clear, Niklaus?"

"You see, Elijah is always right. I'm the wild dog who can't be controlled, loved, respected."

"I'm sorry, it seems I'm a little underdressed for a pity party." Elijah said, smirking.

"We're fine, though. Alive." I stated, nudging Elijah.

"Does your wrist not ache, causing you pain? If I hadn't broken it, you wouldn't feel pain." Klaus frowned.

"There's headaches, bumping a wall or something, aches in general.. Klaus, every time I turn into a wolf, there's pain. All these years I've spent with you, there has been pain. I'm still here, and not only is it just me, our daughter is here. She needs you.."

"Mia is right."

"I hurt the love of my life, I almost hurt the light of my life. Don't you see, I am evil. You should just stay away." Klaus spoke, shaking his head.

"It wasn't you."

"How do you know? Maybe this is who I truly am. A monster who doesn't even care enough for his child to not kill her."

"It wasn't you, dad. It was the Hollow. I saw what it does to people. I know you don't want to hurt us." Ella said, coming in and walking up to him.

Tears slid down his face as he looked down at her. She gasped when he suddenly embraced her. He let her go, wiping his face.

"I'm sorry." He whispered.

"It's okay. I forgive you."

I grinned, watching a small smile appear on his face as she squeezed his waist.
