"Is this real?" Marcel questioned, referring to the prophecy that Freya saw.

"The prophecy said that they would fall by friend, by foe, and by family.. I haven't seen it so, I don't know.."

Davina came in, smiling, hugging Marcel then waving at me. Since the whole tribute ceremony, I was sort of employed as her bodyguard so we spent some time together.

"Mia, I wanted to thank you." She spoke.

"For what?"

"You were right. Since I became regent, I've tried to control everything and everyone, but that's not me. I don't want to be that person anymore. I asked the ancestors to give me the magic to lift your curse. Since it's Cadeau... They granted it."

She pulled the lit candle from behind her back, blowing it out. Everything felt the same which meant the curse was gone.

"Keeping you as a slave seems like something the older generation would do. I'd rather have you as a friend."

"Thanks. Let's not do that again."

I walked into the compound, hearing the brothers bickering.

"What you did to Aurora, to me, you set my course!" Klaus yelled.

"I protected you. I protected our family. Aurora was the sister of a lunatic and a powerful lunatic, at that. Father was in pursuit. What was I supposed to do, Niklaus? Despite every one of your despicable deeds, I alone have always stood by you."

"And why is that? Guilt. You knew that your secret betrayal was the cause of everything I became!"

"All this blame! Will you ever look at yourself? I have carried you for centuries, Niklaus. No more. You want a fight? So be it."

"Enough!" I shouted, taking notice of the destroyed furniture.

"You have much more important things to be worried about than fighting your brother."

"He is the reason Aurora broke my heart." Klaus confessed.

"Yeah? And I'm the reason it was broken again. You gonna fight me? Kill me?"

He glared at me.

"You're still hung up on her so why does it even matter?" I questioned.

"I do not know what you speak of, love."

"Don't lie. I saw the kiss, the affection.." His face wore disbelief, realizing he'd been caught.

"Sweetheart-"

"Save it. Instead of letting her brainwash you, focus on the bigger threats at hand, Klaus."

I stopped, covering Ella's eyes
before she could see a naked Aurora.

Klaus looked at me with shock, stuttering as if he couldn't find the right lies. I shut the door, rushing down the stairs just as Freya rushed up to me, panicking.
