Klaus stared at the video playing with tears sliding down his face. His thumb touched the screen, sliding the dial back to the beginning.

His heart ached, not only for himself, but for their daughter. A small smile appeared on his face upon hearing her laugh.

"So, tell me.." his voice spoke on the video as he pointing the camera to Mia.

"What do you think of the most powerful hybrid, Klaus Mikaelson?"

"What do you think of the most powerful hybrid, Klaus Mikaelson?"

She smiled, rolling her eyes then tapping her chin.

"Let's see... He's looney."

Klaus laughed.

"Looney in the right way.."

"I like it, though. He thinks he's just some monster but he seems like a great guy."

"And what would you do if you met him? Would you be stuck like typical prey or would you dare face him?" He smirked.

She leaned over.

"Between me and you.. I slept with him. There's something about him; I know he won't hurt me."

"How can you be so sure?"

"Should I be doubtful?" She tilted her head.

"Maybe. Curiosity gets the best of caution, now doesn't it?"

Klaus stopped the video, seeing Ella come to the door. She looked at the screen then back to him, biting her lip.

Despite her best efforts, the tears came. She rushed into her father's arms, sobbing. Marcel peeked his head in, giving Klaus a sad look.

"Thank you."

Marcel nodded.

"We've had our differences, Klaus. On opposite sides, always at each other's throats... We can agree that Mia was the best thing that happened to us."

Klaus nodded, squeezing Ella tight as tears slid down his face. Marcel excused himself. Klaus comforted his daughter until she fell asleep in his arms.

He carefully laid her in the bed, covering her body with a blanket. He frowned, hearing Hayley call him; he was almost out the door.

"What?"

"I know you and Elijah have your differences. I know I wouldn't be able to forgive Tristan for killing Jack-"

"This is nothing like that! He was just some wolf, wanna be hybrid."

"Do not talk about him that way!"

"Elijah is my brother! Always and forever, right? How could he do something like this?"

"It wasn't him. He's been trying to contact you since he got his memory back. He wants to apologize."

"I don't care if he wants to build a house for the Queen of England, I don't want him here."

"He's taking this just as hard."

Klaus scoffed, leaving, seeing as he was done with the conversation. Elijah, his brother, his blood, took one of the most important things away from him..

Klaus wasn't sure he could forgive him like the others..

He wiped his face as he walked down the street. The empty, night streets somewhat comforted him until he heard a voice.

"Brother!"

His head dropped, his body turning to leave.

"Wait!"

"Get away from me." Klaus spoke, not looking his way.

"I need to talk to you, Klaus." Elijah gently replied, feeling his heavy heart.

"In case you haven't noticed, I don't care for your presence nor conversation."

"I am... truly sorry." Elijah sobbed.

Klaus sniffled, wiping his tears and turning to face Elijah.

"I never want to see you again

"I never want to see you again."

"Brother, please.." He begged.

"Do not come near my child or I will make you suffer.."

Klaus took one last look at his crying brother then sped away, never speaking to him again.
