I looked at the sleeping baby one last time before closing the door behind me. My feet followed the sound of music coming from the lounge.
"So you have time for a glass of bourbon but can't talk to the wolves about protecting our daughter?" I questioned him as he sipped the bourbon, relaxing in the chair.
"Hayley has married that weak and mangy wolf, handling the rest.."
"What? I thought Jackson was leading the wolves."
"He's a mortal. He isn't fit to lead them. Hayley is, however, a hybrid like us. Much stronger.. faster, maybe even smarter than the overly-devoted alpha."
"I heard that, you son of a bitch." Jackson said as he and Hayley walked in.
"That's lovely, mate! Would you like to test your eyesight as well? I have a few tricks up my sleeve." Klaus said, smirking.
"Knock it off, Klaus." Hayley warned him.
"We're here to talk business, people. Let the wolf in all of us coincide and discuss." I loudly stated.
They nodded, eyeing Klaus.
"It is time to use our werewolf army. Finn and the woman who calls herself my sister are in this city. The wolves can help us pinpoint their location." Klaus said only for Jackson to decline.
"No, we need all hands on deck here with Ella. You can compel humans to track your enemies."
"Do my ears deceive me or did you just give me an order in my own home?"
I sighed at the overly-testosteroned men.
"This ain't about your ego, Klaus! It's about what's best for that little girl." Jackson yelled, resulting in an angry Klaus.
"How dare you question my intentions for my daughter!"
"Enough!" I yelled.
"Jack, Klaus is right. Finn's body disappeared from the morgue, which means that he's either powerful enough to heal from that explosion, or Freya's powerful enough to save him. Either way, we're not finding them unless we send our best people out there." Hayley told him.
"I'm sure you and all your merry men will find them posthaste."
Jackson stood up, glaring and looking Klaus in the eye.
"Just to be clear, I'm giving this order because Hayley is asking. Don't think for one second that I take orders from you."
The wolf scoffed, pushing past him, leaving with Hayley behind.
"You deserve manager of the year." I sarcastically complimented Klaus.
"I almost received mayor of the city, once. However, the committee died in an unfortunate boating accident."
"Boating accident, huh?" I eyed him.
He smirked, answering his ringing cell. Suddenly I was in his arms, feeling sharp wind before looking around the Lafayette cemetery.
