Chapter Eighteen

Confrontation 

Namjoon POV

I continue to play the video of the security camera and see the man that killed Kyung walk away from him. As he walks the wind hits in the opposite direction, making his jack and hoodie lift up a bit. I look down at what he was wearing. I saw a very bright pink shirt tucked inside his black jeans. I stood up in shock. Is that Jinhwan? Thats the outfit he wore the day when he got drunk, he probably got a hangover and threw something on top. He still has that same clothes from that night-it has to be. I quickly grabbed my phone dialing Taehyung's number, I need to warn him. 

Taehyung picks up the phone in a heartbeat, "Hey what did you find?" He asks curiously. 

"Taehyung it's him, it's Jinhwan," I say. It felt like a weight was removed from my shoulder. 

"How do you know?!" 

"The guy in the security cameras is wearing the same outfit Jinhwan wore the night before. Hot pink shirt, black jeans, and same vans. Kyung looked at him like he was shocked to see him, like he knew him and was afraid," I mention. 

"That means, Jinhwan remembers what we talked about at the bar. He didn't forget, he was just trying to make us feel like he did so he could smoothly kill Kyung," I nodded through the phone. 

"Exactly," I smiled proud, "Heres the thing, the place of death is different," 

"What do you mean?" Taehyung asks.

"Kyung didn't get shot at school, he left after Jinhwan did. We don't know where they went but Jungnim is looking into it," 

"If we are sure it's Jinhwan who came to his school to threaten Kyung, it had to be him who killed him," 

"It only makes sense..." I sigh heavily registering everything, "Who would've known..." 

"Namjoon I need you to keep digging until you have perfect evidence that this was Jinhwan. This could be what separates Sunny from him," Taehyung says sounding a little desperate. 

"I'm on it," I hang up the phone and turn around to Jungnim.

"Man it's late, go home, I'll keep looking into it," I tilted him head.

"Are you sure?" 

"Yeah, what else would I do," I smiled. 

"Okay. Let me know if you find anything," Jungnim nods and I quickly head out. 

I feel a little satisfied that we have a lead on Jinhwan. Of course a part of me wishes it isn't him because that puts most of us in danger. It doesn't matter what internal skills we have, we don't want violence to be the answer of this problem. But Jinhwan is deeper than he seems, so this could be what solves our issues. 

As I enter my house, I walk up to my room feeling exhausted. My covers look at me waiting to be messy, and I walk over and opened my bed sheets. I find myself under them, and grab my pillow to cuddle then fall asleep right away. 

Jungnim POV

When Namjoon leaves I chug a bottle of energy drink to prepare myself for the hunt I need to do. Namjoon is a good friend of mine and whatever this is seems urgent, and if this man is actually a murderer I need to solve this for him. I need Namjoon to be safe. 

As I delete the tabs where the security cameras are, I start to look into the police statements. The sheet I found of the crime, is short and brief,

How He Died: Shot

Time of death: 7:15pm

Suspects: None
