"Hey guys, did you hear? Our class and Class 3-B are going to be working together cuz a lot of us are working." Kaiyo smiled greatly, leading the rest of her class down the hall towards Class 3-B. She opened the door and there were three students already sitting there. One girl with long, half green half pink hair that had obviously been dyed too many times and two boys.
"Ah, you're all here." A man wearing a long trench coat said. The boy, in the back corner next to the window, turned his head in slight disgust.
"It looks like there are only nine of us." Mitsuki said, pointing at each student individually.
"That's correct. Head to the changing rooms and head to the PE grounds." After Ectoplasm walked out the door, everyone got up and headed to the changing rooms.
As the boys were getting changed the two from Class 3-B saw Okami's stomach covered in bandages and looked slightly horrified.
"Don't worry, I only got stabbed by a tree. Nothing I can't handle." Okami beamed pure radiance with his toothy smile.
After a minute or so, the boys froze again. Mitsuki was just putting his PE shirt on but he couldn't cover up the scar across his chest, where his heart is. Based on the scar itself, it looked like someone cut into him with surgical tools, implanted something into his chest and stitched it back up.
"This is nothing to worry about. It's been there since I was born, surgery." Mitsuki said, with almost no emotion on his face.
'Thank God, I thought a villain did that!' The shorter boy from Class 3-B swallowed heavily, a side effect of his horrific nervousness.
Within five minutes they were all on the PE grounds.
"I have already decided who will spar against who. Tamaki and Okami, you two are sparring first." Ectoplasm checked his register just to make sure.
"Alright!! Tamaki don't you dare hold back!!" Okami grinned, taking deep breaths to prepare for the battle.
"Good luck Okami." Kugutsu whispered.
"You may begin." Ectoplasm said, exactly as Okami finished his breath.
Immediately, a huge blast of wind tunnelled straight towards Tamaki, who barely managed to block it with a clam shell.
"I'll have to thank Fatgum for that." Tamaki whispered.
Suddenly, wings sprouted from his back and he shot into the sky. The clam shell was replaced by octopus tentacles. Okami was quick enough to fire another cannon of compressed wind; Tamaki reacted quickly, transforming his right arm into a clam shell to take the minimum amount of damage. The indigo haired boy lunged towards Okami but he wasn't fast enough or good enough to avoid the finishing blow. One sharp breath and it was over.
"Tamaki!!" Hiko screamed, rushing over to him and immediately creating green healing paste.
Everyone, except the three students from Class 3-B and Ectoplasm rushed over to his side, including Okami.
"Sorry, I went a bit overboard." He said, scratching the back of his head.
"You think?!" Hiko snarled through gritted teeth.
'Why am I so mad all of a sudden?' She thought.
"Hiko, he apologised." Kaiyo tried to talk Hiko out of her rage but it didn't work.
"And that's good enough? That isn't going to fix what happened. Maybe if he learned how to control himself it wouldn't be so much of an issue!!" Anger coursed through her veins, for a reason no-one could explain.
"Hiko, calm down." Kugutsu walked towards her friend, but Ectoplasm stopped her. For some reason, the air around Hiko was hotter than normal. Thin smoke seethed out from her skin in little streams. Her nails became unnaturally sharp, as did her teeth. Her pupils became slits, making her appear like a cat.
"Everyone get back!!" Ectoplasm shouted as his clones pulled Kugutsu and Tamaki away.
"The hell is she?!" One student screamed.
"DEMON!!" Another shouted.
Sharp, demonic breaths escaped Hiko's mouth every second. Desperately, she tried to hold it all in but nothing could be done to stop her.
Suddenly, a hand swiftly hit her in the back of the neck and she fell into unconsciousness.
"Mitsuki, what did you just do?!" Kaiyo shouted louder than ever.
"If she was left alone for two more seconds at least two of us would've been seriously injured or killed. So I-" Okami grabbed Mitsuki's shirt angrily, growling at him.
"So you knocked her out?! There are better ways of dealing with things like this!!!"
"I don't understand why you're getting so angry. You're the one who caused this." Mitsuki stated the obvious. "She is almost correct. If you learned to hold back this wouldn't have happened."
"What do you mean by almost, Mitsuki?" Ectoplasm asked.
"She would've gone out of control anyway. She would've seen the pain Tamaki was in even if it's not physically." His yellow eyes glared at Okami as he dug his nails into his classmates wrists, forcing him to let go of his shirt.
"Tamaki didn't want to fight you. That is obvious to anyone." The half pink half green haired girl said. "He's kinder than most."
"Still...that doesn't explain Hiko's breakdown!!" Okami redirected his anger at the girl from Class 3-B.
"It's because she loves him. I could see it throughout the fight. I'm Rose, by the way."
"Come to think of it, she never gets angry over anything." Kugutsu mentioned.
"I will take her and Tamaki to Recovery Girl's office where they can rest. Mitsuki, a word?" Ectoplasm said, his clones picking up Hiko and Tamaki and carrying her to Recovery Girl's office.
"What is it, sir?" Mitsuki's pale lips parted to give words their freedom.
"Where did you learn to do that? You struck her with perfect accuracy and the perfect amount of strength. I've never seen anything like it."
"My parent taught me how to defend myself when I was younger." He smiled, walking back to the rest of the class.
"Rose, Kugutsu, your turn." Ectoplasm said, leaving a clone with the students.
