Dear Diary
Something terrible happened and, as usual, I don't know why. All I remember is being excruciating pain in my back and a voice. It sounded so familiar yet so... unknown. I still can't put my finger on who it was.Recovery Girl told me that the event happened just a few hours ago. That would explain the stitches on my back and the bloody bandages in the bin. She also told me that Kirishima and Jiro visited in the hospital. I don't know why though, we barely know each other. No-one from Class 3-A has been able to visit me because of work, except Tamaki and Nejire. I'm surprised, I've not really talked to them either.
So much stuff already happened. As someone walked past Recovery Girl's office door, they stated at me terrified. Why? I'm so confused. Tamaki has burn marks on his wrists but everyone says they're going away. Slowly but surely.
I've just noticed that there's a basket of food next to my bed with a note. It says "We're very sorry for not being there to help you. Once you get better make sure you tell us all. We'll have a massive party for you!!
Stay safe, Class 3-A"It's mainly chocolate but I like chocolate so I don't mind. It does seem like a bit too much though.
I'm going to try and get some more rest. Bye!
Hiko gently closed the book, placing it carefully on the bedside table. Her back hurt more than ever, even more than when the wings were ripped off. Two petite wings rubbing against the stitches, desperate to be free.
"Miss Recovery Girl?" She spoke out but there was no reply. Sighing, she removed pulled the stitches out, almost screaming and crying from the agony.
"What are you doing?!" The familiar voice of a blue haired girl shouted from the open doorway. After getting closer, she realised.
"Don't do that! Your wound hasn't finished recovering yet!!" Kaiyo ripped Hiko's hand away from her slightly bloodied back.
"You can boil water, right?" Hiko asked, causing Kaiyo to stand back in confusion.
"Yeah...why?"
"Once I've removed the stitches, pour water on the open wound and boil it to seal it up," Silence filled the room, "please."
"You're lucky I ran here. Otherwise there'd be no sweat to boil." She pulled every drop of sweat from her forehead as she could, forming a small bubble. The bubble tripled in size after short seconds of concentrating.
"I'm ready," Kaiyo said, drawing the water closer to the stitches, "but let me pull the stitches out."
Hiko winced in pain, squeezing her eyes tightly shut as tears escaped. Kaiyo simply added the tears to the collection of water. Blood spilled down her back once the stitches were removed.
"Here goes. Don't move, okay?" Hiko nodded in reply. She felt water pressing up against her skin. Then she felt it heat up, slowly. Searing pains shot up from her back towards her brain and she screamed as quietly as possible, so she didn't alarm anyone else.
"I'm done, I'm done." Kaiyo breathed out heavily, finally destressed.
"Thanks." Hiko applied her green paste to numb the pain.
"Don't thank me. Thank them." Kaiyo looked over to the door. Kirishima and Momo were standing just outside the room. Momo with a look of relief, Kirishima with one of great worry.
"Are you okay?!" Kirishima rushed into the room immediately, pressing his body against the bed staring directly into Hiko's eyes. His classmate followed in a much more elegant manner.
"Yeah, thanks. How are you two?" She smiled softly.
"You shouldn't worry yourself about us. You're in worse shape than everyone right now." Momo's hands were clasped together in front of her skirt, making this event seem more formal than it actually was.
"Why does this happen to me so many times?" Hiko took a sip of the water on the table next to her.
"You're so manly, that's why!" Kirishima shouted, tears in his eyes.
"But I'm a..." Hiko's words drifted off as she looked out the window. She saw Tamaki with tears in his eyes sitting on a bench being comforted by Mirio and Nejire.
"Why is Tamaki upset?" She wondered. Unfortunately it wasn't just her inner thoughts.
"Because he's worried about you. He thinks you getting mad and Mitsuki knocking you unconscious is his fault." Hiko looked at Kaiyo, then back at Tamaki. However, by the time she'd twisted her head between the two Tamaki, Mirio and Nejire were gone.
"Kirishima, I think we'd better get going before class begins," Momo put a hand on her friends shoulder, "lunch is almost over."
"You're right. I'll talk to you later!" He said, nearly deafening Hiko and Kaiyo. The two ran out the room waving back.
"Can you keep a secret?" Hiko's expression was extremely serious now.
"Uh...yeah, yeah, what is it?"
"Well, what's a crush?" The two of them looked at each other, Kaiyo thinking hard on how to answer the question. Then she nailed it.
"If you can imagine kissing that person and not disliking it in any way, that's a crush. To me at least." Kaiyo was about to continue but she was cut off by Hiko, who immediately blurted something out.
"I think I have a crush on Tamaki!" Her face drastically turned bright red. Embarrassed, she turned around and stuffed her face into the pillow behind her.
"I already knew that. Okami, Mitsuki, Kugutsu and Takumi know as well. Oh and three people from 3-B." Kaiyo explained, much to Hiko's surprise.
"Does Tamaki know?!" Kaiyo's head shook. "Oh thank God. Don't tell anyone else, please!" Hiko pleaded to her friend.
"I promise. I'll make sure everyone else promises too, but I've got to go to class now. When Recovery Girl comes back she'll probably send you home so here," she tossed Hiko the keys to the house, "my parents won't be back till tomorrow so you can enter. Just don't make a mess, okay?" Kaiyo flicked her friends forehead, grinning and waved goodbye.
"Bye." Hiko said quietly to herself.
