Dear Diary,
A few months ago we rescued a classmate of mine. No-one got hurt, everything went perfectly fine but...I can't shake the feeling that I know that guy. I don't know why or what or how but I recognise him. Every time I close my eyes I imagine him staring back at me with a crazed look in his eyes.
I think he has a mutation quirk, based on his appearance. He has pointed, rock-like structures protruding from his body. I just can't get him out of my head...its constant.
Anyway, Snatch and Tancho have been training me nearly non stop. I'm pretty good at hand to hand combat now. My sensory skills have gotten a lot better and so has my communication. Hawks is nice, cute, dreamy...but there's something deep inside him that's been locked away. Aizawa Sensei is surprisingly nice. He's been teaching me about relaxation methods ever since the raid. The next group of first years will be coming in exactly one month two weeks and six days.
Tomorrow I'm going to try talking to Tamaki. Bye.
~~~
Hiko flipped her diary shut and put it back in her dressing table. She couldn't believe the day had come. Not only was she going to talk to Tamaki, but the entire class had planned a reunion party for Soraia's return. The local bowling alley had been rented out for the class to do as they pleased.
Hiko grabbed her bag and walked downstairs to be greeted by Kaiyo.
"Nervous? Don't be, you'll be fine. Just stay calm." Kaiyo grabbed Hiko by the wrist and pulled her along, out the house and down the street towards U.A.
"I can't stop thinking about him." Hiko's mouth began quivering.
"Who, Tamaki?"
Hiko shook her head and began spilling everything.
"I just...I feel like I know him somehow. I know I do...but I don't know how." By now, gentle tears streamed down her face as she collapsed onto the ground. "What if I'm...what if he's..."
"Listen, listen, we'll figure it out. Just take one step at a time. We can do our own research on him tonight, okay? I'll bring Kugutsu too."
A few minutes later, the bowling alley was in view. Mirio, Tamaki and Nejire were barely ahead so Kaiyo pushed Hiko until she was beside Nejire.
"So I tell Sir Nighteye a terrible joke and he bursts out laughing!!" Mirio's hand was over his mouth at this point, trying to stop himself from screaming of laughter.
"Calm down Tintin." After realising what she had said, Hiko covered her face and apologised non-stop. Mirio however...took it differently. He was barely contained as he rolled on the floor. Nejire burst out laughing, placing a hand on Hiko's shoulder. Even Tamaki let a sliver of joy escape his shell of sorrow.
However, their attention immediately turned to the double doors in front of them. Shouts and cheers, music, a referee announcing scores for the bowling games (probably two teams against each other by the sound of it).
"You coming or what?!" Kaiyo pushed the doors aside to reveal a truly jolly sight. Every classmate and every teacher made it to the party. A bowling game was being played right at the back. Students Vs Teachers. Mitsuki, Okami, Koneko, Shibire, Kana and Tatsumi Vs Mic, Aizawa, Vlad King and Hound Dog. Akihari and Kyokuuta watched from the sidelines, sipping what looked like tequilla.
From behind the bar, Lunch Rush (School chef) made delicious snacks and drinks of any kind. Principal Nezu was held up by Ectoplasm because he couldn't reach the pool table. Principal Nezu and Ectoplasm Vs Oku and Kibo. This night might've been the best night of their lives.
Soraia was sat in the corner alone. She wasn't speaking or moving just...silent. Hiko began to walk over to her but Kugutsu stopped her.
"She needs time to heal." She said, pulling Hiko away. Kaiyo and Kugutsu became the spectators of the bowling match. Mirio was drawn towards the pool table. Thankfully he got there just in time because the prinipal had got balls five and two in one turn.
Nejire strolled over to the bar, grabbed some popcorn, and shimmied her way onto the dance floor to join the others. Tamaki went and sat in the corner furthest away from everyone else, to which Hiko followed.
"Hey." She smiled at him.
"Hey...I-" He was cut off by her delicate voice.
"Thank you for saving me...and for checking on me at the hospital...and for letting me sit next to you. I got you this as a gift." Hiko blushed slightly but managed to keep her composure.
"Th-thanks. Are we...friends?" Tamaki asked. He was twiddling his fingers, awaiting an answer. No words came out but a soft, warm embrace did.
"Aww my god they're adorable!!" Nejire squealed in excitement. Popcorn spilled over the floor.
"Yeah but let them move at their own pace." Mirio replied but it was worthless. Nejire was already walking towards the two. He sighed.
Both Hiko and Tamaki were blushing as Nejire towered over the two of them huddled in the corner. Akihari snagged a quick picture of them and smirked.
'Cute.'
