"Well," the doctor said as Hiko grabbed her bag and headed out the door, "If there's anything else, then let us know."
'Yeah whatever...as if you care. You only care about the money you get.' She muttered under her breath sneeringly.
"Uhm...th-thank you." Stuttering, she stumbled to the elevator. Before the doors closed, someone else stepped in.
"Hi, Hiko. Leaving early?" He asked, emotionless.
"Oh hi, uhm..." She mumbled, trying to remember her classmates name.
"Mitsuki...nice to finally meet you." The pale skinned boy held his hand out for her to shake it. Nervously, she reached out but pulled back a few seconds later, terrified of what she had seen. His hand was wrapped up in bandages but something seeped through the cracks within the layers.
"Oh...I'm bleeding. Sorry about that, I didn't notice." He covered his hand behind his back and held out his other one for her to shake it, which she reluctantly did.
"So, are you leaving so soon?" He asked. "I don't think that's very smart."
Nodding was all she could do while in a state of shock, and that's exactly what she did. After a small conversation, consisting mostly of Hiko nodding or shaking her head, they parted ways . Hiko in the elevator and Mitsuki walking down the halls to find another classmate. Not two seconds later she'd arrived at her chosen destination...the ground floor. 'Well,' she thought, 'guess I should head home now. Grandma is gonna be so woried.'

Finally, she was at the door. She knocked but there was no reply. The door was unlocked, welcoming Hiko back into her home but...something was off. Someone would be ready to greet her at the door if it was unlocked, right? Shards of glass were spread slightly away from the house. It was green, probably a wine bottle, so she took no notice, opened the door and stepped in.
"Grandma?" Hiko hesitantly asked. No reply. She asked again. The same thing, no reply.
She bolted upstairs heading straight for her grandmothers room but something along the way mortified her. All over the walls, the floor and even the ceiling...was blood. Immediately, she sprinted faster than her legs could carry her, tumbling into the room seconds later. There she was. Her grandma still and silent. Hiko got closer to grab her wrist, but she froze/ Stumbling backwards, tears began falling down her face. Her legs gave way, her vision blurry from the terror and sorrow she was feeling. They were cascading down her face, shrieks echoing throughout the small neighbourhood. Her whole world was dead right in front of her.
She heard police sirens, but only for a short moment before her antennae shivered. Something heartless...something cold crept up behind her, opened up its arms to strike. Furiously she turned, the enemy? Terrified. They dropped their weapon and began to run but nothing could escape her grasp.
They collapsed, gasping for air as pollen entered their nose and mouth. It hunched over them this time. Rage coursed through its veins, anger escaping from every cell in its body, as the house creaked and cracked.. It lunged forward shrieking what could only be perceived as:
"GET OUT! GET OUT!! GET OUT!!!"
More blood was splattered and after just a few short seconds of ripping its prey to shreds...it was over. The creaking of the house had ciesed to exist, and the bloodcurdling screames were no longer heard. Nothing more than tears escaped the former things body now.
Footsteps came running from below. Two police officers appeared, took one look at the thing covered in blood, crying, and immediately called for an ambulance and more police officers. The second, younger officer took the shivering thing outside to calm it down and help it breathe.
"I don't...I don't know what-" Gasps of air seeped from the slit that was her mouth as she calmed herself. Ambulances and police cars were on the scene almost immediately, rushing in to check on the situation, blocking off the area and wiping the blood of the innocent girls hands and face. Neighbours had formed a small crowd around the scene of the bloody crime both terrified and worried. A familiar face turned the corner and walked towards them, walking over the police tape that had already been put in place.
"Hi Hiko. What happened?" He asked, raising his hand for the second time today. Only sobs replied. He knelt down, brushed the long, brown hair out from her face and smiled sincerely.
"Don't worry, I've already contacted some of our classmates. They'll be here shortly."
More tears cascaded down her face as she scrunched up and collapsed further into the seat. She had no-one else to rely on. Her breathing pattern became irregular. Clutching her chest tighter than ever, her mind faded to the scene she'd found herself in a few minutes prior.
"Hiko! We heard what happened!" Four other classmates came running down the street. Kaiyo led them, tears in her eyes. Kyokuuta wasn't too far behind, Aki-chan grumbling beside her. As if appearing from their very shadows, Kugutsu emerged. The four of them skidded to a halt just before the barrier, but Akihari wasted no time and ripped it apart, giving them clear access to their traumatised friend.
"Hiko you poor thing!" Kaiyo crouched in front of her friend offering her a tissue to dry her eyes.
The police officer beside Hiko chimed in, "Do you have anywhere else to stay or anyone who would be willing to keep you?" The victim shook her head, spreading tears everywhere.
"Then it's settled!!" The teary eyed girl pipped up "You can come live with me and my parents."
"If they don't want you to...I'll silence them." Goth girl quietly stated, causing Akihari to giggle as a policeman dragged Kugutsu to the side.
"Th-th-th...thank you!!" Hiko shouted, bowing her head and dabbing her eyes.
"C'mon...we'll help you get the things you want to take." Kaiyo said, manipulating the blood on and around Hiko to the pavement.
