"I want to fight you!" Hazel shouted extatically at Hiko.
"Huh?"
"Woman Vs woman!"
"But my wings aren't-"
"You've gotta have something more than just wings!" A ton of mud sprouted from the earth and a golem appeared.
"Fine. No holds barred." Hiko grinned. Snatch and Mockingbird only taught her the basics of muay thai, in case she was in a close combat battle, but it was enough to scrape by with. It also helped with developing one of her ultimate moves.
"Whenever you're ready." Hiko took a sharp breath.
The earthen golem lunged and almost hit Hiko in the stomach but she blocked it. The punch pushed her backwards a little. The golem was fast and strong but it was stupid and easy to break. It retreated and went in again. After a few seconds Hiko spotted the pattern. The golem went in to strike and retreated.
As soon as it retreated she got ready. It lunged for her stomach again but, this time, she landed a right hook in its face, shattering it completely.
"That all you got?"
"Not bad!" Hazel grinned widely. She formed a much larger golem this time. It was slow but incredibly strong.
After noticing this one's pattern Hiko kicked it in the leg, sending it face first into the dirt. She pressed her foot down on its head as hard as she could and twisted until a cracking sound eminated from it.
"Looks like Hazel's underestimated her." Tancho muttered.
"She does that to everyone." Ruina sighed, Gladios sharpening a short sword.
"Why does he carry a sword?" Hiko continued battling Hazel's demonic creations.
"I've been told it's like a medal of honour, of sorts. His great grandfather fashioned the blade and it's been passed down from generation to generation ever since." Ruina pulled out a book, seemingly from nowhere, and began reading.
"Hyah!" Hiko panted but didn't stop. Instead, she ran towards Hazel as fast as she could and coated her right fist with yellow pollen.
"This'll be good." Gladios turned to watch the aftermath of the fight.
"Pollen Punch!" Hiko's attack would've landed firmly on Hazel's cheek but a strong dirt hand gripped Hiko's much weaker, human one. It flung her to the side and she hit the dirt.
"I give up." Hazel didn't have a scratch on her.
"That was a super cool move!" She beamed as she helped Hiko up.
"Thanks." Hiko's eyesight became blurry for no reason and she felt something happening inside her head. It hurt.
"What's the matter?" Ruina elegantly walked to their side.
"It's just a headache; I'll be fine."
"Probably from hitting the ground so hard." Gladios joked but the pain got exceedingly worse, especially her back. The pale wings shuddered and jolted around. She could feel every flutter. Her antennae curled inwards as if deactivating.
"What's going on?" Tancho made direct eye contact with her now black eyes.
"I don't know."
"You need to rest." Ruina helped carry Hiko back inside to their living quarters.
