Wings sprouted from the students back and she spun into the air, following a red haired boy being taken out by some medics.
"I'm going to go check on that boy to make sure he's okay." Hiko glided softly towards the exit, passing through it at gentle speeds. Then she checked every room until she found him. As soon as she did her wings folded in on themselves and retracted to give her space to pass through the doorway.
Patiently, Hiko waited until everyone in the room was gone except him.
"Hiya," She leant against the doorframe and smiled at him, "I saw your fight just now. That other boy's really strong, isn't he?"
"Nah I just wasn't strong enough to beat him. I'll definitely win next year!!" His grin revealed a row of sharp almost shark-like teeth.
"You remind me of a hero but I can't remember what his name was." Her finger tapped her chin several times as she thought about the name.
"Crimson Riot? He's my favourite hero!!" The small grin turned into a beaming smile as radiant as the sun itself.
"Why is that?" Hiko sat in the chair next to the bed the boy lyed in and smiled again.
"Because he's the manliest hero around!!"
"I see. My favourite hero is...Actually, I don't have a favourite hero. If I had to pick one it might be Gang Orca." Both of them grinned widely at each other.
"Why?" His face turned into a look of confusion.
"Because he looks so cool and he's really strong. I wish I could have a quirk like his instead of something as weak as mine." She sighed.
"What's your quirk?" The boy's red eyes widened slightly with amazement.
Hiko's vermillion wings appeared and filled the room in an orange light. Her antennae glowed green with a strange pollen.
"Oh, here." She reached to her antennae, grabbed a handful of green pollen and began rubbing it together with her hands. Seconds passed and it became a strangely thick paste.
"What is that?" He asked, still staring at her wings.
"Could you sit down please? Oh and turn around so your back is facing me." Hiko asked politely and he complied. She rubbed her hands one last time, got a ball of the paste in her hand and began rubbing it into his back.
"It's a special medicine I made using some pollen and my sweat. It's gross but it does the job. How are you feeling Kirishima?" Her wings retreated into her back again.
"It feels weird but the pain's going away." He said, turning back around to face her when she asked.
"Last spot." She said, rubbing the paste into his ribs. "How does that feel?"
"Much better, thanks!! How do you know my name?" Kirishima stuck his thumb up in approval of her medicince.
"Your name was announced when you fought remember? I'm Hiko Suimin, a third year at U.A." She held her hand out and he shook it.
Hiko's phone began vibrating from her pocket so she had to bid Kirishima farewell.
'Snatch? What could he want?' She thought, holding the phone up to her ear.
"Hiko, is that you?" Snatch's voice sounded broken.
"Yeah it's me. What's up?"
"Tancho is in the hospital. We were attacked by the hero killer, Stain." After hearing that news, her smile turned into a frown.
"I'm on my way." She picked up her bag and messaged Kaiyo to let her know what was happening.
~~~~~~~~
Hiko ran through the hospital in a panic. She noticed a familiar face standing in the queue to the reception. He had short dark blue almost black hair and glasses fixed firmly on his face. However, she didn't stop running until she came face to face with the door to Tancho's room. In front of it stood two older teenagers. The girl had thorns protruding from her body but she covered them up with leans and a hoodie and she was walking left and right in front of the door. The boy seemed like any average boy and he was leaning against the wall.
"Excuse me? Is Tancho in this room?" Hiko immediately brought the attention of the girl.
"Yeah, why?" She asked. Her thorns vibrated which caused her to wince in pain.
Before Hiko could answer, the door opened and a doctor let the three of them in. Thorns flew past Hiko, almost cutting her, and landed right next to Tancho in a frenzy.
"Are you okay? What happened?!" Her thorns vibrated more and more but she ignored the pain.
"Give him time to answer the first question Yokina." The boy sighed deeply but with relief more than anything else.
"I'm fine you two, just a few broken ribs. We were ambushed by the hero killer." He noticced Hiko standing in the corner of the room. "Snatch is fine, he's not hurt.
"Oh thank God." Hiko finally relaxed and sat in a chair next to Mitsudo (the boy).
After about half an hour of talking it was time for Hiko to go. Just as she exited the hospital, however, a man in a black suit walked over to her and grabbed her arm.
"Hiko Suimin. I need to ask you some questions about what happened the night your grandmother was killed."
