The bubble appeared in palace gardens, and everyone appeared. Haru dove behind a thick bush to hide from everyone.

"His majesty will be ready for you shortly.  Please wait here in the meantime." The butler bowed before leaving, walking up a large set of steps towards glass doors.

"Why is it so bright today?" Tancho slinked over towards the shade to make himself more comfortable.

"Hello, my name is Hazel. Nice to meet you." One of the finely dressed teens greeted herself.

"Oh, hi. Do you know when his majesty will be ready for us?" Hiko asked kindly, bowing.

"I'm sorry, but I do not know the answer to that. I'm sure he'll be ready for you soon though. He's a busy man, you see."

"I understand, thank you anyway."

"Hazel! Could you come here please?!" A teenager, the same age as Hazel, with long blonde hair and wonderful blue eyes shouted.

"I'm coming, princess!" Hazel waved.

"Hello dear visitors. I am King Aurea, named after the creator of this island and the island itself. This is my daughter," He waved his hand for his daughter to walk forwards, "Princess Deam-Regium Aurea. From this point on, you will be protecting my daughter as well as the four champions of our country and myself, until the prophecy that my daughter saw passes."

"He seems like fun." Hiko whispered to Tancho.

"The two youngest will go with my daughter. You, bird." His majesty looked at Hawks.

"You talking to me?"

"You will go to Penna. If you're not as stupid as you look, you'll be able to find him. He has a very...unique appearance. The baffoon who looks like a gorilla, Anyma will come here and get you shortly." He said to Death Arms.

"I don't like him." Tancho muttered back to Hiko.

"And us?" Snatch asked.

"Ikari has personally asked for the most ridiculous looking male hero, so it is only fitting that you be her bodyguard. As for you," He turned to Takeshita, "my butler will teleport you to Maisha. That is all."

They were removed from the hall within seconds, but were separated immediately.

"I'm sorry for my father. He's always been...controlling, for lack of a better word." A beautiful young lady smiled but there was deep sorrow hidden beneath her face. Glistening locks of long, straight her flew behind her pointed, nervous ears. Wide teal eyes reflected in the sunlight, staring at both Hiko and Tancho with joy.

"And you must be Princess Aurea. Nice to meet you." Hiko held her hand out. The princess shook it happily.

"Please, call me Ruina. It's nice to meet you too. And you." Ruina said towards Tancho.

"Princess, I've just had a brilliant idea! We should all go out and do something fun!" Hazel ran towards her friend, arms outstretched.

"Such as?" They hugged. Tancho noticed a nice shaded area, so he shuffled over.

"Finally, away from random people I don't know." He shrugged.

"This is my spot." The voice of another, more experienced young man rang in Tancho's ears.

"Oh for god's sake."

"How about the girls go out and the boys stay in?!" Hazel shouted into Ruina's ear.

"I don't think Tancho will like that." Hiko said.

"Awww! Fine, we can all go to the-"

"Ahhh!" Ruina screamed, a sudden pain bounced around in her head. Her eyes glowed blue and a mystical aura covered her body.

"Princess, what's wrong?" The young man urgently asked.

"It's, it's," She spoke through shallow breaths, "there's fire and...and darkness everywhere."

"What's going on?" Tancho asked urgently.

"It's a prophecy. Princess, do you know when this will occur?"

"No, Gladios, I...I don't know." Ruina's breaths became stable.

Petals of water trickled down onto them.

"It never rains here." Hazel suddenly became nervous.

"Is it another sign of something?" Hiko asked.

"It might be. I'm not too sure." Gladios pulled Ruina up from the ground. Small vibrations coming from a large bush reached his ears. His eyes shot in the direction the vibrations came from. Leaves rustled.

"Princess, stay back. Something's not right." He said, drawing a broadsword. "Lightning spirit." He whispered, streams of lightning appearing from the blade itself.

Three gang members ran out, knives in hand, charging towards Ruina to kill her.

"Thunder Bomb." Gladios ran head first at incredible speed, striking one of their knives with his sword. Lightning erupted from it, the ground exploding in a surge of yellow light.

From behind him, multiple gang members, at least seven of them, made a desperate push towards her. Shadows coiled around three of them, covering their mouths and noses until they were knocked unconscious. Hiko kicked one of them in the chest and he landed in the arms of another. A giant demonic golem punched the two gang members and they flew a mile away, at least. Hiko and Tancho turned; Hazel had her hand firmly on the ground with her eyes closed.

Hazel, quirk: Golem. By placing her hands on the ground and focusing, she can create multiple golems out of sheer willpower. The more golems there are, the weaker they become.

Gladios, quirk: Spirit. By chanting certain incantations, he can draw upon a mystical power that only his family line possesses. It coats both him and his sword in magical energy. What you just saw was his lightning spirit, one of the fastest moves in his arsenal.

"Are you okay, princess?!" Gladios called.

"We're alright!"

He drew his sword, the golem behind him disintegrating.

"Well that was...a surprise to say the least." Hazel chuckled.

"The worst is yet to come, I can feel it. And I still haven't unlocked this accursed power."

Thanks for reading the first chapter of "The Country of Aurea", which will be the first very large arc in Butterfly Kisses. I will break it up with some chapters back in Japan, but the main focus will be on Aurea. The rough amount of chapters is 18, but since Haru and Tancho weren't in my original plan that's going to change. Hazel is an oc of one of my friends, but they do not have Wattpad.

Anyways, see ya!
