"Hey!" Hawks yelled at Maisha and Takeshita, who were busy hurrying to the castle to support the princess. "Mind helping me out over here?!"
As strong as Hawks was, he was not strong enough to carry Penna's almost entirely broken body kilometers at a time. As soon as he got close enough he dropped to his knees, breathing heavily from exhaustion, throwing Penna onto the dirt.
"Careful!" Maisha warned. "Don't give him more injuries than I can heal." He touched Penna's forehead and began moving his hands over Penna's body, a faint glow from inside him following the flowing movements.
"I'm Hawks." The hero scratched the back of his head.
"Maisha. Talk to your friend, I need to concentrate."
He felt the displacement in Penna's ribs.
"Broken ribs, dislocated leg, and scorched feathers..." Penna's eyes squinted. He was in a lot of pain and Maisha's procedure was far from comfortable.
"Hi Penna. Glad to see you're not dead." Maisha whispered. His feathered friend chuckled, immediately regretting it as sharp pain hit his ribs.
"Your ribs are broken, your leg is dislocated and your body is scorched."
"I can tell." Penna tried to move his leg but ended up scraping it along the dirt instead, which made it worse.
"Hold still," Maisha grabbed Penna's glowing dislocated leg, "this might hurt." Quickly, he jolted his arms, shifting Penna, who screamed in pain, back to normal.
"You said it might hurt not that it'd feel like Hell!" Anger pulsed through every vein in his body.
"Stay still." Breathing heavily, Maisha clenched his teeth and pulled his hands towards him. Nothing could be done about the feathers but his ribs could be repaired, with some effort.
"Done, I think." He collapsed onto the floor, almost passing out. "You okay?"
"Could've fixed my feathers."
"Fuck off."
There was a crash of green lightning beside them, two figures emerging from the jade glow.
"Why are you two sitting around? Get up!" Ikari ordered. Maisha got up as quickly as he could, trying not to throw up, while Penna still had some difficulty. Snatch was right behind her.
"Sorry, but I'm in a rush to get back home. You know where Hiko is?"

"We're almost there!" Gladios led the charge, cutting down any demonic creatures that got in his way. Ruina, who was still having difficulty controlling herself, tightly gripped his hand. Hiko acted as a scout.
"Three on your left! Seven on the right!" She yelled, hovering from tree to tree. Her wings still weren't fully grown.
"I've got the right!" Tancho sank into the ground, reappearing right next to the golems. "Piercing Shadow." He muttered, sharp spikes emerging from all around him, obliterating every enemy in sight.
"I'm on the left!" Hazel said, only using her quirk to create one golem when she'd usually create two. The longer the struggle was the more strained and ill she looked. Something wasn't right.
Hiko jumped downwards, landing on one of the golems. Gladios easily dispatched of the second one. From there it was smooth sailing, or so they thought.
Hazel stretched her hand out, the destroyed golems melting and reconfiguring as a wall that she did not need to strain herself to maintain.
"That's far enough." She snapped as a wicked grin latched itself onto her face.
