Chapter 10: The Investigation Begins

"So, you want me to investigate the disappearance of a student from U.A?" Scarlet feathers danced around him in the office, perching perfectly on every furnishing and ornament as he drank his coffee. "Yeah I'll do it, why not? It'll get me away from all the hard hero work."

Calling his feathers back to him, he stood up. Each individual blade reattached perfectly onto his wings while he grabbed his visor and placed it firmly over his eyes. He turned and stared at the door for a moment before twisting to face the open window. The jacket slung over his office chair was grabbed and slung around its owners shoulder.

"Yeah, I'll be there in a minute or two...don't mention it. You don't need to call me Hawks when we're not in public, I told you to just call me bro or friend. Yeah, yeah I know I know!! Well, I'm off.  See ya later." The pro said, sliding his phone back into its pocket as he flew out the door. Deep crimson feathers littered the sky like trash on a road, but they soon followed him.

'Huh...the training camp is already in view? Took a bit shorter than I expected.' Hawks thought, slicing through the air at blinding speeds. 'Must've improved since last time.'

Not ten seconds later Hawks touched down, his black walking boots fixed firmly on the ground. Immediately, feathers were flying out in all directions as the originator crouched down to examine the area.

'Blood. It's either leading in or out of the forest. I'm betting on out since only God knows what'd want to stay in there.' He said to himself as a small grin appeared on his face. Suddenly, shooting up, he raced off into the forest in search of one of his feathers. Along the way he noticed some...peculiar things.

"A katana? This has blood on it too. I'd better bring this in for examination along with the blood. Another blood trail. Let's take the blood from the katana this time." He pulled out an empty ziplock bag and a pipette, picking up as much of the blood as he could before putting it away again and walking towards the site of feathers.

"A broken twig and a destroyed flower. Based on the way the twig snapped and the twisting motion of the flower, I'd say I'm in the right direction."

He was right. Not a minute later he'd found another highly possible clue to the missing students whereabouts. A singular strand of brown hair sewed gently through a torn leaf. Hawks picked it up, taking the strand of hair but leaving the rest. After a few minutes of following the trail, he'd found nothing else.

Out of nowhere, a tall, lanky man with surprisingly long hair jumped down from a tree, ready to incapacitate Hawks right where he stood.

"Hold it. Who are you?" The mysterious figure said, clutching his cloth tightly and wrapping it around his hands.

"Hey hey wait a minute. I'm Hawks the number three hero you know?" The bird said reluctantly, his blood red feathers silently surrounding the possible killer.

The 'killer' sighed, picking up the cloth and wrapping it around his neck as he stepped out from the shadows. The Erasure Hero: Eraser Head.

"Ah, Aizawa it's you! What are ya doing here? Scouting out the area?"

"No," the obviously bored and tired man replied, "searching for any hints about the villains location."

Hawks asked if his new accomplice had found anything yet, to which he replied by pulling out a torn cloth with a symbol stitched into it. Aizawa gave it to Hawks confidently knowing that he would be their best bet in finding the missing student.

"Thanks pal"

"I'm not your pal."

"Yeah whatever. Well I'll be going now! See ya later...pal." He said, violently flapping his wings causing himself to rise from the ground.

'Thank God he's gone.' Aizawa thought. Leaves rustled, a bush shivered, a tree moaned out in sorrow. The teacher immediately got ready to strike, but out from the bushes came...a cat.

"Oh my goodness..." He 'thought', holding his hands over his mouth to not squeal in excitement.

"I'm going to take such good care of you little kitty. You're going to have the best life ever with me." He said again but much louder this time. This cat was clearly clutching his heartstrings.

"Mrow?" It replied, shaking its body and circling its finders legs.

"Yes yes, you're coming with me. Get in." Aizawa sternly ordered, opening the scarf up to reveal space suitable for a cat of any size. Immediately it jumped in, an almost invisible smirk appearing on its face.

*A few minutes later

"Hey chief, I've got clues for you that I've sent over to the scientists so they can do all the smart stuff." Hawks sat down in his office, once again drinking his coffee. A jacket thrown over the chair, feathers perched effortlessly on furnishings and ornaments. This was the ideal life for him. An ideal life for Hawks, the number three hero.
