"Hey Kugutsu! You okay?!" A low pitched, almost wolfish voice howled across the forest.

"Yes. You?" Kugutsu replied swiftly to draw as little attention to herself as possible.

He replied with a simple nod as they ran off to look for the others. Suddenly, Kugutsu jumped back, pulling Okami with her threads.

Nomu...

Just one...

A strong one...

"What the hell is that thing?! Hey Kugutsu, you think we can take it?!" Okami bellowed, sending streaks of air outwards as he spoke.

"Highly unlikely. Judging from how fast it got to us, the small crater it made and the fact it does not seem to be phased at all, I would say it has multiple quirks. It would be best if we-"

"Too late!!" A sprinting Okami shouted, face turned away from the bulky, blue almost black creature.

It caught up. With one swift movement it had already teleported in front of him with its fist raised, ready to strike...but it never had the chance. A singular thread froze the creature's body in place, its fist less than an inch away from Okami's face. If not for Kugutsu there would already be one casualty.

"Okami, howl!" She screamed at the top of her voice while releasing the thread she had connected to the nomu in order to cover her ears.

"HOOOOOOWWWLLLLL"

Huge streams of compressed air annihilated the trees at it ripped through, and teared the nomu's body near to shreds. It tunnelled through boulders as it brought up the mud and wild fauna with it.

It's body shifted, muscle regenerating even stronger than before, bones built to be the strongest they could be.

'Regeneration too...we seriously need to get away from this thing or we'll be dead within minutes.'  The small goth thought to herself as strategies ran around in her mind desperately searching for one that could work. 'Maybe if we wait long enough heroes will arrive.'

She looked across the new battlefield to find anyone that could help...nothing.

'We just have to run...' Realising that they'd die if they continued to fight, she signalled a retreat to her ally forcing them both to run. It chased after them.

Each second passed but every one felt like days to them as the brute tailed them, ruining the beautiful landscape just by existing. With every step, it terrorised wildlife. With every growl, it grew louder. With every breath it grew stronger. The hulking menace barged past trees, toppling them over just by grazing them. Nothing could stop it.

"I...I can only use my quirk two more times...then I'm out." Okami gasped as he was desperately trying to recover his breath.

"On my mark," The goth ordered, "one...two..."

Silence

"Three"

Another tunnel of air crashed into the unknow life form, toppling it over once again. This time, there was more than that.

BOOM!!!

Explosions set off just behind them, enveloping the nomu in a thick burning cloud of ash and bark. 'Screams' of pain could be heard for miles.

Okami squealed in shock, "Whoa!! What was that?!"

"Before we got through the forest at the beginning of the camp I placed multiple traps in case this would happen. There are many more behind us, and even more ahead. We should get going before-"

Too late again. The hulking figure of the thing they faced rushed beside them. It striked Okami in the stomach sending him flying into a tree. Blood spilled from his mouth as he gasped in pain, Kugutsu covering her mouth as she stared at the horror she had just witnessed. Okami's arm was impaled by a stray piece of wood, as was his leg. His head had a massive gash etched into it as liquid oozed down his face, dripping ominously onto the grass surrounding them. No words could escape his frozen mouth. Irregular, sped up breaths were the only things that could escape his dying lips as his life began to fade away ever so slowly.

Drip...drip...drip...

It wasn't finished. The nomu clocked its head to the side as if it was wondering how the prey was not yet dead. It creaked as it turned to face him head on.

"Get...away...from him" The monotone voice behind them uttered.

"I said...get away. Do you want me to repeat that or drill it into you by force?" A terrifyingly calm voice asked, waiting a few seconds before responding.

"Force it is," She said as they stared into each others eyes, both emotionless.

"I hope you're ready to go to hell, bitch."
