Chapter 24: Scouring the internet for her father

Haru spun into the library chair, immediately typing into Google for any 'Iwahada'. A couple hundred results came up and all were completely different. Very few even had a picture.

"No, no, no, no-wait...no nevermind." With each result that appeared, a dismiss followed. Nothing at all.

Haru got up explaining, "I'm going to go brew some tea. Would you like any? There's green tea, peppermint tea, camomile tea or just tea." Widened lips stretched her face. Hiko replied with only a short smile.

Taking that as a no, Haru walked through the door behind the front desk and began brewing like a witch making a potion.

Hiko went back to work immediately; she leaned in closer for a better look. However, nothing seemed to catch her eye, everything about the scientist had been wiped away. No matter how deep she searched nothing would come up. She doubted even the dark web could help her. A young, black haired girl with rather large breasts (VERY IMPORTANT DETAIL) walked up to Hiko from behind and asked a question.

"Hello," A posh accent escaped her sweet smile, "you're from U.A aren't you?"

Too focused on her studies, Hiko nodded her head to show that she was listening.

"I'm Momo Yaoyorozu, a first year at U.A." Turning now, Hiko took the open hand and shook it swiftly. Immediately, her eyes widened when she saw who was standing behind the first year. Her short purple-like hair, darkened eyes, earlobes as long as Hiko's tie? No doubt about it, it's her.

"Hi, uh...Jirou right?" Hiko asked whilst waving and marking her face with a small, welcoming smile. The almost shadowy being stepped forward and waved back.

"You remember me from Wednesday (today is Friday in BNHA) ?" Jirou asked while twiddling her finger around one of her earlobes.

Replying with a nod, Hiko closed the tab she was looking at whilst turning to take a look at what the head librarian was doing. Near the front desk Haru reached into her pocket and dialled a number. It shuddered a few times in her hand before freezing in place, rising up to her ear.

"Haru is that you?" A feminine voice from the other end answered.

Closing the office door behind her, she replied, "Yes, no-one else is listening."

"Good." She took a short breath. "Is she there?"

"Hiko? She's here. What did you tell her about her family?" Haru sipped from her pitch black mug filled with Golden Tips Imperial. (a tea in the My Hero Universe)

"Nothing at all, apart from that they're all dead. I did give her a little hint though." The woman fixed her stunningly red wig which muffled the noises coming through the other end. Taking her brown contacts out of the solution and gently placing them in her eyes, she heard a whisper from Haru.

"She can't know about anything. Am I clear?" Looking down at her mug, she realised it was empty.

"I understand but when are you gonna tell her that you're her...you know..." Two batons were slipped into the bag that was fastened around her waist.

"Himitsu, she thinks I'm dead so even if I did tell her she wouldn't believe me." Haru poured the water out from the mug and into the sink.

"Right, sorry. Got to go, I'm going on a long term mission infiltrating the Shie Hassaikai so I can't talk anymore. I'll talk in code when I meet you in person and over the phone."

"That's fine, don't worry about that. Just don't get caught."

A smirk could be heard from the other end.

"I never get caught, that's my job."

The two lifelong friends shared a laugh before parting ways again. Haru opened the office door and stepped through, turned to face Hiko, but saw her conversing with Jirou and Momo.

'Looks like your confidence has grown a lot since we drifted apart, Hiko.'

That concludes this chapter of Butterfly Kisses. How was it?

I don't think it's as good as the others because there's no action involved and I like writing action sequences because there's a lot of creativity involved.
