"Hey hey you guys!! You missed the first few rounds of the Sports Festival?!" Nejire's periwinkle hair spiralled just like her quirk.
"Yeah," Koneko scratched the back of her head nervously, "sorry about that."
"Mirio kept us all informed of what has happened so far." Mitsuki explained ever so briefly as his shimmering yellow eyes reflected Nejire's big smile back at her.
"Hey!! The next match is about to begin; you've gotta come see it!" A girl with a monkey tail shouted and waved from the entrance of the arena.
"Thanks Kana, on our way!!" Nejire shouted back.
"Isn't this one a girl with a gravity quirk and a boy with an explosion quirk?" Mitsuki asked.
"Yep. It's Ochako Uraraka vs Katsuki Bakugou!! They're both in 1-A." Koneko's wrist was grabbed and she was practically dragged along the ground by Nejire. The rest of the students followed.
They'd only just made it by the time the match started. Hiko had saved a seat, in between Okami and her, for Nejire. Soraia sat quietly and almost impatiently at the end of their row.
The match began, smoke almost immediately rising from the ground after an explosion from the sandy haired boy.
"Oh my God, do you think she's okay?" Hiko asked nervously.
"Look she's fine." Mitsuki pointed to the silhouette running through the smoke. Something flew through the smoke but the boy caught it in midair and blasted it. The third years sat horrified, thinking the poor girl had been blown to bits.
"Look look there she is!! It was a decoy!!" Nejire was now bouncing up and down from her seat valiantly cheering Ochako on. The brown haired first year grew closer and closer to her opponent, so much so that they were certain she'd won.
"C'mon...damnit!!" Okami clenched his teeth in anger.
"So close!!"
"She almost had him!!"
Suddenly, from the opposite side of the arena, a man started what seemed to be an uproar. He threw gestures at the teenage boy within the arena, stating that he was just causing damage to his enemy for the fun of it. For the fun of seeing her bleed. Without notice, Soraia got up and headed to the roof of the stadium. Aizawa promptly shut the 'hero' up, telling him to go home and quit being a hero.
Hiko noticed the shadow of a bird flying over the sun on her skirt so she looked up in hopes of getting a closer look at said bird flying over head.
"What the...hell?" After taking a quick look at what she saw, she gasped. Tamaki and Nejire's shoulders were tapped by Hiko. They looked at her, saw the stare into the sky, and looked up too. Eventually, the entire year glanced up at the sky and stared in awe.
"Those are all...from the arena?" Kana smiled at the image she saw. "This'll teach that boy not to mess with girls."
"Thanks Bakugo...for keeping your eyes focused on me..." The U.A girl breathed heavily whilst drawing her hands closer to each other, "I'm gonna win!"
She clasped her hands together and, all of a sudden, all the debris in the air plummeted back down to the arena.
"Yeah you've got this girl!!" Almost everyone in their year were out of their seats and cheering for Ochaco, the girls especially more so.
Unfortunately, Bakugo stretched his hand into the air, held it tightly, and let out an enormous explosion that sent shockwaves across the entire arena.
"Jesus Christ!!" Kaiyo's jaw hit the deck at that point.
Tamaki and Hiko both covered their faces, Okami and Kugutsu smiled and cheered with delight that their bet was on the winning side.
"That's some real power!!" Mirio exclaimed brilliantly.
Mitsuki sat their with no expression on his face. "That's unexpected." he said.
At least ten seconds after the explosion, Bakugo was decided the winner.
"I need to get some fresh air after that blast." Hiko excused herself and walked up the stairs to the roof. When she opened the doors to reveal blinding light she saw Soraia kneeling on the railing, taking in the scenery. The doors creaked as they closed.
"Ah Hiko. That was quite spectacular from up here. The rocks in the air, then the explosion? It was amazing!!" Soraia's violet eyes seemed to glow with fascination.
"Yeah I guess it would be. The boy won."
"Damn, I was really hoping that the girl would've won."
Hiko noticed something in the corner of her left eye. Something was standing in the protection of darkness. Her antennae rattled, sending shivers down her spine. Then the shadow's tail shook for a second.
"So, what brings you up he-" Soraia was immediately cut off by a hand pushing her down onto the ground. As she fell, she breathed in a bunch of white spores.
Again, the shadow's tail shook. This time, however, it made a circular motion and sparks flew out from behind it. As soon as the sparks completed the circle the thing stepped through it and disappeared.
"Damn it. Are you okay?!" Hiko turned extremely quickly to see Soraia yawning on the ground.
"Yeah just very *yawn* tired. I don't know what happened."
"Sorry about that, it was my quirk. Here." Hiko handed her extremely tired classmate a vial of honey. Soraia drank the entire thing in a matter of seconds.
"Thanks. That wouldn't happen to be the honey of an Apis cerana japonica would it?" She asked, grabbing the railing to help her back up to her feet.
"Yeah...how do you know that?"
"Hiko there are only two honey bees in Japan. I was going to get it right eventually."
"Oh..."
The two of them shared a small laugh, then walked back down towards the stadium to enjoy the rest of the show.
