Chapter 36
After he lost at that competition, all I did was listen to his rants and try to comfort him by my presence. But maybe, he doesn't need it. Maybe I'm lacking, but that's all I can give.
Few days passed and all I got was his cold shoulder. It was as if I did something wrong but then, I can't think of anything.
"Hey. Are we good? Just tell me already and don't play guessing games with me. Hindi naman ako manghuhula."
That's the exact message I sent him last night and all I fucking received was, "Idk. We're good. I'm just busy and I need to prioritize things."
After reading that, all I could ever think of is that, just fucking end this already. But I don't have the courage to do so, I don't want to get mad at him so I just replied an okay before turning off my phone.
I was helpless. All I can do was just wait until he got better. I know that he's just frustrated about what happened back there in the competition and I also knew that there are things that he can't handle properly.
"Ate!
I looked at the mirror as I combed my hair until it's perfectly fine. I just pulled a bright yellow polo shirt and got a faded denim jeans together with my strapped sandals. I sprayed some cologne before taking a glance of myself at the mirror.
I'm now satisfied so I rushed down the stairs and I saw my little sister with her annoyed expression as she was trying to patiently wait for me. I forgot that we will attend simbang gabi for tonight and I overslept.
It will be the seventh night, but unfortunately, we will not be able to complete it because we are heading to Baguio tomorrow.
I scanned him before I spoke.
He's wearing a tropical polo that reminds me of the host in Maynila. He's also wearing his leather shoes and I can smell his fragrant perfume.
As soon as we arrived at the church, we saw how full-packed it was. All of the seats are occupied and there's a lot of people outside.
