8: Matt

Chapter 8

I was dead tired as I arrived home. Pakiramdam ko isang linggo akong hindi natulog.

I removed my uniform and change to a more comfortable clothes. I charged my phone and decided to sleep first before eating dinner.

We had a lot of things to deal with inside our class. We have some group projects to focus on so maybe I get exhausted.

I'm also still not used to getting home late. My body is still adjusting. Hindi ko rin alam kung bakit ayos sakin ang malayong school. Siguro inisip ko na dapat kahit paano masanay ako sa byahe.

Our practice ended well and we got out of the school at exactly 5:30 pm. But waiting for a jeepney to arrive was really horrible. It took me 1 hour and 30 minutes to arrive home because of the heavy traffic.

I woke up earlier than usual. It was around 4 am but I still get up to check my phone if it's fully charged.

I get myself a mug and put a 3-in-1 coffee and hot water. I'm also thinking of preparing myself a breakfast but I saw a bread in the table.

May pandesal doon na inuwi ni papa kahapon. Malambot pa yun kaya kinuha ko na. I really love coffee and pairing it with the pandesal that my father made really makes me feel alive.

Ang sarap kaya ng pandesal tas isasawsaw mo sa kape! I'm not a morning person but breakfast meals are really good. Kahit na anong oras pwede naman kainin yun. Madalas pag nagmimiryenda ganito lang din kinakain ko.

I turned on my mobile data so that the messages that arrived last night will be seen. And I was shocked to see a lot of messages. Some are from my friends and from my group chats. I also saw the group chat of our section!

I just prayed it's just my classmates teasing each other. If it's a school work or something I'll panic! Yes I'm used to procrastinating but this is a different case!

Pagbukas ko ng group chat ng section namin para akong nabunutan ng tinik. I'm happy but then my smile faded when that message sink in my head.

"May bayarin nanaman." I groaned in frustration. What the hell? Really? Palagi nalang.

I continued eating my breakfast and decided to open some messages. I replied to all of them before scrolling again if I missed something important. And I did!

I saw a message from Matt. I was shocked that I didn't send a reply before sleeping.
