When the guards lowered their spears and all charged at the same time like complete idiots, Valerie ducked and managed to tumble out of the way, letting them crash into each other pathetically.

She stood on her feet and watched Handel closely, her wings tucked behind her back. "Did you think I was going to let them?"

"Of course not, I would be underestimating you as well if I did." Handel said and made a lazy, grabbing motion with his hand.

Valerie let out a cry of surprise when her body abruptly got bound by silver chains. They wrapped around her like silver, metal snakes, binding her hands to her side and her feet together.

She may have underestimated him as well, but she truly didn't know what to expect. Her heart hadn't stopped racing since she stepped into this throne room but it sped up even faster when he took three calculated steps to her and pat her hair like a puppy.

"Honey, you have already lost, you should honestly just give up and maybe I would even let you go back home to your mother" He said and smirked. "Did you really think the "prophecy" was the future? It was just false hope for the Oscavians."

Valerie didn't say anything. She was too busy to argue with him. Her eyes darted through the room, looking for a way out while she struggled with the chains digging into her body and the pain spreading from the cut in her abdomen.

Handel went back to his throne while using levitating powers to pull her along. He signaled to his guard to leave, confident that he would be able to handle her all by himself.

Soon, she was standing right before his throne of darkness. She didn't know if his throne was obsidian or some kind of black rock but it looked hard and very uncomfortable.

"If there ever was a prophesy, I fulfilled it when I came and got rid of the plague of darkness" Handel said, he sat down and leaned forward with a taunting expression that Valerie so wanted to punch off his face.
"So tell me, do you surrender? Don't be shy..."

"No!" Valerie barked, struggling harder against the chains "I won't leave this place until the Prophecy has come to pass. Oscavia will win and you know that!"

Handel laughed. It was a normal laugh at first but then it turned hysterical then slowed down till he was just saying "Ha, Ha, Ha," while glaring at her.

"Oscavia will win" he mused, his face deadly serious. "Let's see how our dear Oscavians are doing, hmm?"

Valerie frowned in slight confusion as she watched him mutter a few spells and do some hand gestures. In a few moments, there was a huge hole in the air.

It was like a portal but you could see what was on the other side rather than infinite emptiness.
She did not like what she was seeing.

"Look," Handel said with a proud smile as he pointed at all the destruction on the other side.
Dark creatures loomed around with weapons, killing the brave warriors that dared to stand in their way. The city was in ruins!

The sky was dark with smoke from burning houses, the roots had overtaken the ground, making it uneven and slimy. People laid lifelessly everywhere, silver blood and gore made the place difficult to recognize.

"Say hello to the new City of Beautiful Things!" Handel said, happily. "Not so beautiful now, is it?"

"No!" Valerie cried, her eyes brimming over with tears. "No! That's not possible!"
The last time she had seen Zhuba, it had fireworks and flowers and fabulously dressed people, now it was unrecognizable!
