Valerie and the Legends of Oscavia

Chapter Sixteen: Girl Talk.

"I want to commend you all for your great effort during this battle, you have all fought bravely and for the first time in many Yaku, we fought a battle and have lost no lives" Prince Artemas said to the large group of people standing before him.
Valerie, Dansé, Mayi and Susanne stood on either side of him, facing the people also.
"I would not say this is the end, my subjects. The Void has merely warned us and therefore till he strikes again, we must continue to train hard and be at alert.
Please do not fear, remember to report any strange occurrences and continue to pray to the Karis for protection and victory."

At the end of his speech, the people turned and left for the village which they had to return to it's former glory.

Valerie sat at the edge of the rather huge podium with a sigh, watching the Prince and Susanne.

"Are you alright?" She heard her ask him.

"I have to be" He replied, running a hand over his face. "They look up to me. Now I have to travel to the other cities to inspect the damage and have a meeting with the Princes"

"Where do you think Susanne was during the fight?" Valerie asked Blue as she watched them enter the palace.

"Probably waiting for it to be over while in her Chambers" Blue replied.

"I have so many questions" Valerie said and sighed. She watched the Light Creatures fix the damages with their magical powers for a while.

"You can ask the others your questions during that 'girl time' you promised" Blue suggested and Valerie stood up with a small smile.

"I guess so. But I need to find Diaz first"

So, when she got to the room where the children were hidden, she found her foster son telling the others a story.

"...and then the Three Evil Pigs chased the Big Good Werewolf through the forest and then they...Val-Val!"

"Hey, honey, I'm so glad you're alright!" Valerie said as he ran into her arms and gave her a crushing hug.

"I am not scared anymore" Diaz announced and she grinned.

"I'm glad, you're my brave little Dizzy!" Valerie said and picked him up, "how would you like to spend the night with Mister Poopy?"

"Aww, I want to stay with you!" Diaz whined.

"The girls and I would be having a sleepover tonight, you can't stay with us, you're a boy" Valerie said.

He just gave her the cutest pout and folded his arms angrily.

"Oh fine, you'll stay with us" Valerie gave in and he giggled.

"Finally he's asleep" Valerie sighed as she laid Diaz on the fluffy bed she made for him.

She blew out the fires that illuminated that part of the huge room and went to the other part she would like to call the lounge.

Dansé was seated on the fur rug, playing a soft tune on her little flute. Mayi was grooming the feathers of her lavender wings with a weird instrument.
