"Presley. Uhm, can- can we talk?" Luke asks.
Reggie brought a sleeping Presley home last night as the girl had exhausted herself from crying. Reg laid her down on the couch and didn't talk to the other boys, just went to sleep. So naturally, Luke had many questions.
"I am assuming you two want to know why I disappeared?" her unamused glances told the boys she isn't up for their fuckery today so they just followed her to the rock wall near the side of the garage. "I don't want to yell in front of Reg because we all know how he hates it, but what the fuck you two."
"I'm sorry." Alex says simply. "I should've noticed you were upset, and I- i'm sorry if what I said earlier yesterday was a part of why you were upset."
The anxious boy was playing with his sleeve when Presley took his hand, sometimes she thought she was too forgiving, but she couldn't live with herself if she let her boys out of her life. "Bubs it's okay, and no, you don't have to worry about your rants affecting me. I know you want to go hangout with your ghost friend, go on Als its okay."
Alex looks at Presley and hugs her, with one final "I'm still sorry." he poofs away.
"I guess that means it's my turn..." Luke states, reminding Presley that he was there. "Sweets why didn't you tell me you were upset, I wouldn't have made you play."
"Luke, I- it isn't even that. I just wish you would've noticed" Presley says, leaning on the wall.
"Presley I am so sorry. I was completely caught up in the band and I know it was selfish. I'm sorry. Just come on, you know I wouldn't do it on purpose. It took alex hours to get me to stop worrying yesterday. I should've noticed, but I didn't and I am sorry." His hand is holding Presley's cheek, tears silently falling down each of their faces.
"Julie told us how Flynn saw you yesterday. I don't know if Reggie told you, but we saw this library place that might help.. How about we go today?" he has a hopeful smile and as much as it pained Presley that he managed to bring Julie into this conversation, the girl was never truly mad at Luke or Alex, or even Julie. Just mad that none of it made sense.
"Yea. lets go, can you go get reg I need a second." Luke kisses her cheek and goes to get Reggie out of the studio. Presley takes the few silent moments to let go of any sad emotions before the boys come out. She wails into her arm hoping to muffle the sound, which it seems to do, because neither boy comes running out.
"Ready to go?" Reggie asks with a smile.
The genuine happy smile he is met with assures him she is okay, and yesterday was just a lot. "Lets go." The trio link arms happily and Poof in front of this old charred looking library.
♪
"The fuck? This place looks like it was set on fire." Presley says as they approach the doors to the library.
"Good. the building is as dead as us." Luke jokes, causing both of his friends to laugh as they enter.
The trio walk around the dust covered shelves looking for anything on why Presley can be seen by Flynn when she was holding her songbook.
"Got it!" Presley whisper-yelled. She walks back to the table where her friends were flipping through old books. "This one looks promising."
Setting the book down and starting to flip through it she reads a part aloud "Items may be encapsulated by powers that only the most powerful ghosts possess. Items connected to a ghost's soul can only allow the person to be visible to the living if enchanted while the ghost was alive."
"Hold on, so according to that book, some ghost put some type of visibility spell on your songbook? While you were alive?" Luke asks.
"What's that little thing scribbled over there?" Reggie asks, moving the book to get a better look at the handwriting scribbled onto the page, "likelihood of ghost who possessed your belonging knowing you through family, or friendship while both parties were alive is almost 100%"
The three look up to each other. "Presley did you have any friends or family die while you were alive?" Luke questions hesitantly.
"...my dad." Presley hated her father. The man was a coward. Hiding his work from his wife and daughter until his demise, Presley's dad was never home, so she barely knew him. He was okay until she turned six when he became power hungry. So much so he practically was never home, always focusing on work.
That's why her and her mother's names are Presley Carrie James, and Elizabeth James and not- his last name. The name is so hated by her she never dares say it. Not even in her thoughts.

the rest of the day was spent focusing their attention on happier things, focused on annoying Julie, fashion shows by Reggie, and being told all about the ever so adored "Willie" who was Alex's ghost friend.
