No was my quick answer.

I gave back the copy of waiver Gladys handed me. Hindi ako sasama sa kanila para bisitahin si Devin sa boystown as required activity for one of our subjects. That way I will be at peace. I don't have any reason to see him now. I'm no longer guilty,wala na akong kasalanan sa kanya. Nandon siya hindi dahil sa ginawa ko kundi dahil sa ginawa niya. He's a pusher,a delinquent, a threat to the society. He deserved to be there.

"Sweetheart."

"Mama?" I looked up and see Mama descending from the stairs. Bihis siya para pumasok sa hospital. While Papa has been in straight for twenty-four hours now.

"Hindi ka sumama sa outreach niyo?"

"Y-Yes,Mama."

Mama slowly nodded but her eyes they're assessing me until I got comfortable and looked down on my phone. I started getting anxious when I felt her nearing me.

"Are you upset Devin's there?"

I looked over my shoulder to see Mama sat on the low backrest of the sofa.

"No." Mabilis na sagot ko,not making an eye contact.

Mama sighed. "It will be good for him,you know."

"Opo."

"Dito ka lang maghapon sa bahay? It's Saturday."

Nakahinga ako. "Yes,Mama."

"Okay. Take care then. I have to go. I love you."

"I love you too,Mama." And she kissed me off.

That made me feel guilty. And I promised to make it up to them.

Napahigpit ang hawak ko sa cellphone ko. I'm starting to get annoyed with her nossiness.

I replied I'm logging off but she sent me another photo. And my heart kind of jumped from my ribcage when it revealed a stolen angry shot of Devin.

I immediately logged off my account.

Sunday night,Papa came home from twenty-four hour duty. He arrived upset. His brows knitted and staring directly at me.

Mama asked him why. But Papa led her away to their room,out of my earshot. Naiwan akong nagtataka and soon worried.

I was in my room trying to focus on my reading when Mama startled me. Bigla na lang siya pumasok nang hindi kumakatok. Napatingin ako at nakita ko siyang galit. Nakatingin ng mariin sa akin.

Alam ko na agad na may ginawa ako na hindi nila nagustuhan. My voice croaked calling her. Ilang sandali pa at nasa tabi na niya si Papa. But the latter wasn't showing anger anymore,more looked like he's disheartened.

"Paano mo nagawang magsinungaling sa amin ng Papa mo,Maricar?!"

Nanginig ang mga kabi ko at takot na napatingin kay Mama. "M-Ma?"

Iniwan niya ang pintuan para lapitan ako at mabilis naman siyang inawat ni Papa pero winaksi niya ang kamay ng huli.

"Sinabi mo sa akin na hindi ka pupunta sa boystown but surprise! You've been there all along! Bakit ka naglihim sa amin ng Papa mo? And how could you defy us?! Bakit mo pinuntahan ang lalaking yon?!"
