'y/n we need to talk',
Jackson said avoiding eye contact with me, I looked at him slightly confused, he had an extremely serious look on his face,
'I have a surgery, maybe later',
I said trying to get myself out of what seemed liked was going to be an extremely serious conversation. Jackson slowly shook his head at me, he put his hand onto his hips slowly pulling his white coat back. I looked away from him hoping he wouldn't be able to tell that I was lying, he let out his breath slightly,
'you know you're a terrible liar and I know your surgical schedule like the back of my hand',
Jackson said, I tried not to smile at the thought of how he knew me so well. I nodded my head at him,
'okay we will talk',
I said to him, he grabbed my hand and pulled me into the attending's lounge. He looked around to check no one was in there, I walked over and leaned against the couch. Jackson walked over and stood in front of me,
'I've been told I have to break up with you',
Jackson said, I looked at him slightly shocked and confused,
'by who?',
I asked somewhat knowing the answer was going to be Catherine, he grabbed my hands,
'my mum/mom said if I want continue being the head of the hospital board',
Jackson said, I looked at the ground,
'so this is you breaking up with me',
I said Jackson, he didn't respond at first. I slowly looked up at him, he had a smile on his face,
'absolutely not',
Jackson said making me smile, I stood up straight,
'you'll lose your job',
I said to him, he nodded his head,
'you're more important then that position plus I didn't really want it in the first place'.
