"One track mind like a goldfish, stuck inside this petri - dish." I sing softly, brushing my hair. A new voice joins in and I smile seeing Alice in my mirror.
"I can't breath and I can't smile. This better be worth my while." I hug her, the two of us joining our voices.
"I feel numb most of the time. The lower I get the higher I'll climb and I will wonder why. I dark only to shine! Searching for the golden light! It's a reasonable sacrifice. Burn burn burn bright."
We giggle and sit down on the floor. "Alice? Remember those guys who kidnapped mom and dad when we were younger?"
"You mean the old magic police?" I nod. "How do you think grandpa Rythian would react now?" I ask softly. She frowns and starts braiding my hair.
"Well I don't know...I'd sure he'd be a part of it. Besides. I think you and Star do a better job than those two jerks. You just make sure people don't destroy the world."
"Yeah..." I smile and clutch grandpa's necklace. He left it to me and Alice. Suprisening when he had died. He left grandma Endress his brewing set, grandma Lana his sword, Duncan his book, mom his wand, dad...he had left him something but he didn't show anyone. Huh...he left uncle Mattie and Aunt Star something that's hard to remember.
"Alelna? You there?" I blinked and blushed with embaressment.
"Sorry. Anyways its ten. Star's waiting for me at the base." I say getting up. Alice nods and ties my hair. "All done with your braid. Tell her I said hi!"
"I will!"is say grabbing a few books and my cloak. Putting it on and running outside. "Bye!"
"Bye!!"

"Shut up girl." He smirks and slaps me. I whimper. Alice...is miss you sis...
"F...Fuck off Sjin.." He takes my chin, forcing me to look at him. "Maybe I should fuck you."
I start crying. Lalna walks in, glaring at Star. "Sjin. This isn't the time. Come on. We have bigger work to do."
With that he walks away. Leaving me chained up and alone. Thank god Star escaped.
